New Products Needed: Email Erin at [email protected]

In summary, the conversation was about new products being released by Pampered Chef, including a new line of knives, revamped nylon tools, cutting boards with non-slip edges and measurement marks, redesigned Ultimate Mandolin, new design for some SA pieces, and eggplant-colored linens. The conversation also mentioned the June Cluster Challenge and the Sell-a-thon levels for consultants, with the top level receiving a variety of new products as rewards.

We just got the OK to talk about new ProductsNew Round Up Campaign: These will be another collectible item --
trivets. Very nice. They are metal with a brushed copper finish.
$12.00 each and the donation to RUFTH has been doubled to $2 per trivet
sold.

You can get one free by writing it in on your paperwork supply order
starting August 15 (#ES48)

General notes about new products.

New line of knives - forged cutlery, basically a professional knife.
They had a chef from a culinary school try them out and demo them at
conference. Pricey, but really nice

Nylon tools have been revamped (now called Chef's Tools) to match the
Executive cookware handles for hanging, and small differences in the
tool themselves. Old nylon tools still available, but they are now
grouped into 2 sets of 4 pieces each.

Cutting boards have been revamped with non slip edges that have measure
marks on them, even on the bar board. No more green grippy pad to lose.

New packaging/labeling for the pantry items - -now Pampered Pantry.

Redesigned USG - now Ultimate Mandolin. The blades store in a box that
attaches to the base, the blades ONLY will work when the food holder is
used.

New design for some SA pieces - called Tiles. They have 2 rows of small
squares (mosaic if you will) around the edges. Eggplant, Cranberry,
Sage green and lavender.

Linens are eggplant with the tiles (small mosaic square pattern) on
them.

June Cluster Challenge: BTW, this was NOT mentioned at all during
conference. Not one mention of it was made in any general session.

I couldn't view the pictures so I just deleted them. I heard other people couldn't either. I do have a mini catalog. Wonder if I could scan it in and post it

  • #13
I have that same info word for word! I did view the pics but I had to paste it into my browser. The person that typed that up does not want the photo link forwarded and has asked that no pics be forwarded because it contains her personal info. She is from another board and doesn't really know us, so I understand!

Did ANYONE earn this? My director was told that no one in our exec's downline earned it! I was just hoping they'd announce that they'd just give it to us all that did do the 2 shows-for free! Wishful thinking I guess;)

  • #15
I think I did see one post on here where someone said their cluster did earn it. Ours didn't come close. We needed 66 and we only did 48. I did 5 myself! I heard some clusters missed it by only 1!! Can you imagine how disappointed they must be!

  • #16
Our Cluster earned it by 1 show to spare, I turned in 10 shows personally. We only had 18 shows to do it, but I was sweating bullets until the last day at 10PM.

  • #17
I bet you were so excited!! I wonder when you will get it!!

  • #18
Does anyone have pictures of all the new stuff that you can post here? when will it go on PC.com website?

  • #19
I think we won't get it until july 31st when they ship the sell athon!

  • #20
I got a postcard saying congratulations on doing my two shows even though my cluster didn't make it. I am seriously hoping they have a "mix up" and send everyone that did the two shows the product. Probably wishful thinking on my part.

It was kind of telling that they didn't annouce it at conference like they said they would, they were probably afraid of all the dead silence they would get. If only 10 clusters total earned it like I read somewhere else there wouldn't have been many, if any, people clapping at that announcement.

HO will send us an e-mail tomorrow with all the info, and it might have pics. All the info will be in the Fall/ Winter CN that will be in your changeover kit though with pics and prices!

  • #22
Were any of you surprised like me that the grill press and grill pan were not included in any of the sell-a-thon boxes? There is rumor that this will be a fall incentive for us to earn. We do need it if they expect us to sell it! I have the Professional Grill Pan right now and I really really want that press! I was so excited about that!

  • #23
I hope we can earn it/them, because I want them real bad!!

  • #24
I didn't notice it not being in the sell athon packages. I do hope we can earn it!

  • #25
I have pics !!!! Hang tight - I am in the middle of painting my kitchen (and dreaming of a $10K kitchen makeover). I should be done in about 30 min and will post them!!!

  • #26
I also wish that HO would bend on the Cluster Challenge promo. Apparently those kinds of promos are big hits overseas - according to my hospitality director. Here it was a HUGE FLOP. I'm a bit miffed, too, that I put in 5 shows, but my cluster didn't make it. :(

I wonder if the Grill Pan and Press will be one of those supply order items that we can purchase at 50% off. :)

How much is the press and is it electric?

  • #31
I'm thinking that the grill pan and press is going to be on supply or on the sample packages. I mean, how are we going to do the new theme shows without the grill press?? I will be shocked if its not!:p

It is $29....not electric. Have you seen Rachael Ray make paninis by just putting another skillet over her sandwich? It's kinda that concept...just a flat press that you put on top of your sandwich, burgers, or veggies to get great grill marks. It's going to be really great I think!

  • #33
thanks Lacy. I have been wanting one of those paninni makers. I guess you will need the exec grill pan as well.

  • #34
My hubby can't wait to get those 2 items! Of course he could care less about any of the products that I earned in Level 3. Go figure that he wants something that I have to purchase!:p

Interesting about the new cover of catalogues in November. I was surprised my some of the products being retired. Also does anyone know what the packages of the new products will be that we can purchase for 50% off?

I saw her make the one time by just wrapping a brick in aluminum foil and then sitting it on top of her bread while it was on the grill.

Our cluster did make the challenge, I do know a lot did not, it was hard and I hope they don't have that again. I am looking forward to my next cluster meeting in Aug. so we can see all the new stuff. I did earn level 1 can't wait for UPS at the end of the month.

  • #40
We earned it too...Our cluster earned the Free knife/June Challenge too. We only had to submit 12 (small group with lots of inactives) and I did 4 myself! We actually had 3 to spare. I just had a large cluster meeting with my Hospitality group and 3 groups there didn't make it - and they are active groups. All the Directors were bummed, but they said it sounds like PC is going to do MORE group challenges! They were complaining about that fact... I'm bummed I missed Level 2 personally but I earned Level 1 - yeah. This is only my second time around at new products/challenges but I thought this one was a lot harder than last time! Thanks for the info on Conference!

I think it's a great idea about the change in covers for November! It will mix it up a bit instead of having 1 cover for 6 months strait! They should do it for the Spring/ Summer catty too! It may peak interest for some people to see a new and different cover for a sellng season!:)

  • #42
With the change over of the covers on the catalogs and the mini-catalogs - it is not quite clear to me. Will they automatically send us 25 new catalogs? Or do you think we have to order them?

  • #43
our cluster done 13 of 26 shows. i submitted 6 of them. i hate we are not getting the product too. i think HO should take that in account for those that submitted shows for it. keeping my fingers crossed!!!

i want the grill press too! i will be so glad to reviece the paperwork/emails and all so we KNOW everything for SURE!!

  • #44
Our cluster missed the challenge by 2 shows :(

I think changing the cover in Nov. is a great idea.

They said at conference to only order what you will use until they do the different cover, then order more of the new cover for the next half of the season.

  • #46
I read that after November whenever we order catalogues we'll automatically get the new cover ones.

What do you mean the new colored items aren't in the Sell a Thon? Haven't you seen the list? They certainly are! I'm getting tiles SA, tiles linens, the cranberry medium squares, the colored small bowls are on there somewhere.....

Our cluster earned it, but it was told at the upper level directors banquet that very few clusters earned it. I know that my cluster and one more were the only one's in Becky Ishee's downline to earn it. They said that they were reviewing this kind of challenge and that it would probably not be repeated.
