Hi everyone! My name is Heather. I am a homeschooling mom of two. I also volunteer at my local food pantry. I am a brand new consultant from MS. I signed my agreement on August 21st. My first show is my Grand Opening this weekend. I am very excited and nervous too. My recruiter lives in TX ( she's my stepmom) and will not be here for my Grand Opening, but will be here next weekend for my first show. So far I only have 2 shows scheduled, but I was offered the opportunity to have a table at a craft fair next month so I am hopeful that the table will open up some new leads and opportunities. I have another friend interested in hosting a show, and my mom plans to host a catalog show next month. I have also sent out some pamper your business letters, and placed some of the spring/summer catalogs that were sent in my kit out at my husband's job. (That's how I got the call about the craft fair) I'm trying to get my info out there and make contacts. This site has already been a wealth of information and I am so thankful to have all of your advise.

Welcome Heather! Sounds like you are off to a great start!

1. How do I prepare for my Grand Opening as a new consultant?

First, congratulations on becoming a new consultant! The key to a successful Grand Opening is to make sure you have all of your supplies and materials ready before the event. This includes your products, order forms, business cards, and any other marketing materials. Make sure you also have a solid understanding of the products and be prepared to answer any questions your guests may have. Lastly, don't forget to promote your Grand Opening on social media and to your personal network.

2. How can I make the most out of my first show?

Your first show is a great opportunity to showcase your products and build relationships with potential customers. Make sure to arrive early to set up and have a clear plan for your presentation. Offer incentives, such as discounts or free products, to encourage guests to make a purchase. Also, be sure to collect contact information from everyone who attends so you can follow up with them after the show.

3. How do I handle not having my recruiter present for my Grand Opening?

While it would be great to have your recruiter there for support, don't let their absence discourage you. Remember, you have all the tools and resources you need to make your Grand Opening a success. Reach out to your recruiter for any last minute questions or concerns, and don't forget to celebrate your accomplishments with them after the event!

4. What are some effective ways to promote my business and get more leads?

There are many ways to promote your business and gain new leads. Utilize social media platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram, to showcase your products and engage with potential customers. You can also host home parties, attend local events, and collaborate with other businesses in your area. Don't be afraid to get creative and think outside the box!

5. How can I continue to grow my business after my Grand Opening?

After your Grand Opening, it's important to continue promoting your business and building relationships with your customers. Follow up with guests from your show and offer incentives for them to host their own parties. You can also reach out to your personal network and offer them the opportunity to host a party or join your team. Consistency and determination are key to growing your business as a new consultant.
