Maximizing Success at a Neighborhood Yard Sale - Tips and Tricks

In summary, setting up a table with PC products can be a successful way to market to neighbors and generate business. Be sure to collect contact info so you can contact customers later. And offer a raffle drawing for those who book a show with you!

We'll be participating in the Neighborhood yard sale April 23 & 24. Was planning on setting up a PC table too. Any Ideas on how to make the most of it? Have you done this and what was successful or not for you?

Thanks for your comments, you all have the best ideas!

I think a nice sign saying PC and the different services: cooking shows, catalog shows, fundraisers, bridal registries/showers, recruiting and have some business cards set out. I would have some mini-catalogs and catalogs ready but not set out. I would give them out when people ask. If you had the fund raising and bridal fliers I would have those ready as well, with you calendar and host packets too.Unless you are willing to sell any cash and carry product that day for dirt cheap, I wouldn't even set up any product. People who shop garage sales are looking for things dirt cheap, I would expect them to think they would be able to buy products at least at 75% off- if not more. So if you have product set up and they stop because they see PC they my just offer you $5-10 bucks for a DCB sort of thing.Maybe depending on the signs and wording it could work to have products on display, but I'm not sure how. Good Luck!! =)

I just set out old catalogs and have signs/flyers in those plastic clear stands of the host specials. I have a huge neighborhood yard sale on May 1st, so I'm going to advertise HWC stuff and have an order sheet set up along with fundraiser info.

Last year, I sold some old used PC products, and that helped to strike up conversation. It helped to make neighbors aware that they have a PC consultant nearby. :)

Make sure you collect contact info! Maybe offer a raffle drawing! And if they book a show with you, give them 2 entries into the drawing?

I'll be having a yard sale next month and plan to try something as well, so I am going to be watching this thread!

Hi there! Participating in a neighborhood yard sale is a great opportunity to showcase your Pampered Chef products and potentially gain new customers. Here are a few ideas to make the most of it:1. Create eye-catching displays: Use tablecloths, risers, and other props to make your table stand out and draw people in. You can also use product demonstrations to grab people's attention.2. Offer special deals: Consider offering some of your products at a discounted price or bundling them together for a special deal. This can entice customers to make a purchase.3. Have plenty of catalogs and business cards: Even if someone doesn't make a purchase at the yard sale, they may be interested in ordering from you in the future. Make sure to have plenty of catalogs and business cards on hand to give out to potential customers.4. Utilize social media: Promote your participation in the yard sale on your social media platforms to reach a wider audience and potentially attract more customers.5. Have a raffle or giveaway: People love free things, so consider having a raffle or giveaway at your table. This can also help you collect contact information from potential customers.I have participated in yard sales before and have found that having interactive product demonstrations and offering special deals were the most successful strategies for me. Good luck with your sale!
