Recovering Lost Backup File for PPP | Troubleshooting Dell Laptop Issues

A
Adrian
I have been having major computer problems (DON'T buy a laptop from Dell by the way) and am finally getting settled into my new computer. I reloaded PPP yesterday, but was unable to find my backup files in the files I restored from my old computer. I'm still looking, but if I can't find it, I'm not sure what I will do.

I noticed that some of my customer information seems to be showing on my website and I know I have synched fairly recently. Is there a way to download the info from my website to PPP?

I'm sorry you're having problems! I have a Dell laptop and several computers and I haven't ever had problems.

I've used them at work for years without incident, but I bought a brand new one from them last month and I've had no end of troubles. It didn't work right out of the box, three technicians couldn't fix it and when they sent me a replacement, it had the same problem! I finally gave up on them and now it will take them 30 days to get a refund! I bought a better one for less money from Best Buy and I think it will be much better.

If you don't have a backup on an external memory device (which I highly recomment), call Tech Support. They can help you locate the backup files that would have been created by P3 automatically.

If you've synced with your PWS, your customers' contact information will be there, but not your show information. All you'd have to do is sync again.

But call Tech Support first to see what you can get replaced from your other computer. Then go out and get a USB memory stick to do future back ups on.

Hello there! I'm sorry to hear about your computer troubles and the loss of your backup files. I highly recommend always keeping a backup of your important files in a secure location, whether it be an external hard drive or a cloud storage service. As for your customer information showing on your website, it is possible that it was automatically synced from your previous computer. However, I would suggest contacting our technical support team for assistance in downloading that information back into PPP. They will be able to guide you through the process and ensure that all of your data is properly transferred. Thank you for choosing PPP and please don't hesitate to reach out if you need any further assistance.
