Bag Refunds at Kroger: What Is It & Is It Worth It?

Ok, so I am going through my receipts for taxes, and I found a Kroger receipt that had -.05 for "bag refund." What is that? Does Kroger give a .05 discount if you bring your own bag? Is that silly to say? Or is it something obvious that I should know?

Me too! OR, I wish we had a Krogers in our area! I grew up on the other side of the state, and I've always missed having them over here.

Never noticed that before. I almost always use my own bags (I have tons of different kinds). Maybe it's a regional thing. I know Target and CVS have programs where you can get a discount for bringing your own bags.
