Is Pampered Chef Your Only Job?

In summary, this woman is a full time stay at home mother with 2 school teachers babies during the day. She also does PC part time. She averages about $80 an hour.

I keep reading how many do PC on the side of their already full-time job. Does anyway do PC and only PC? I was just wondering? :)

Well, I am a full time domestic engineer (aka stay at home mom). I also keep 2 school teachers babies during the day. I would say PC is more of a part time job right now with full time pay!!! I couldnt work anywhere and the hours I do and get paid what I do. with PC. :D Right now I average about $80.00 an hour. Can't beat that working only 10 hrs a month. :D

i am a stay at home mom and i do PC on the side

I only do pampered chef right now. I am pregnant with twins and due in January, so I will be a stay at home mom, but I plan on still treating this as a full time job. I am actually due jan 16th, but as you all know, with twins, they will probably be early. I stopped booking as of Dec. 19th, but I am continuing to book from February 4th and on. I love this company and do not want to slow up at all. I am however trying to book catalog shows for the month and a half I will be taking off so I can still make money. Also to remain active; otherwise I will be replenishing my kitchen with a $200 order of my own:) I figure it's not that bad b/c I will get my host benefits and comission so yes it will be $200, but it is worth it because I will get even more products than whats worth $200!!!!

Full time mom to 1 son, 1 dog, 2 crabs, and as of yesterday a hamster! PTA, Room Mom & volunteer crisis pregnancy counselor.... So PC is definetely parttime hours with full time benefits!

I am also a stay at home mother of 3 children (ages 5,3, and 15 months) and do PC part time with 2-4 shows a month. :)

chefmel,
This has nothing to do with PC but had a cute story about crabs. I was a preschool teacher for one year. I had a couple of hermit crabs in my room. One day all the parents were coming to a kindergarten round up with their kids and were meeting in my room. One of my little boys shouted to his mom across the room, "Mrs. Ray has crabs!!" WOW that was one that made me explain very quickly! Just had to share that one with you. :p

I was a home daycare provider for 6 years and stopped in April. I just started pc in Sept and hope for it to be good $$$ so it can be my only job. My son is in first grade but I am very busy at his school volunteering.

I am also a SAHMof 3 boys ages 7, 4 and alomost 3. I love my Pampered Chef career so much that I have left my husband with many messes ranging from powder all over the house due to a toddler having lots of fun, to the kitchen coated in fire estiguisher dust. Love you hunny, sorry about the mess... gotta go to work!" I LOVE MY JOB!!!!! ;)

I am also a SAHM of three kids ages 7(almost 8) 5, and 4. Since we are so active in church (sing, drama team, choir director, and youth leaders) PC is like my full time job but when i choose for it to be. I love being home with my kids and doing church activities and still making money by doing my other passion in life....cooking!!!

SAHM, tooI'm a SAHM with a 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son. I do work part time at my aunt's coffee shop (5-7 am) and help her out with lunch deliveries, but otherwise everything else I do during the day is volunteer work. At the beginning of the year, I was only doing 2 shows a month, but in the last few months I've been working hard to do 6 shows a month and would like to get it up to 8. I just hit the $18,500 mark, so my husband and I will be enjoying a 2 night hotel stay on The Pampered Chef! I love the part time work, full time income!

Just wanted to make sure you knew (because I did not until recently) that you don't necessarily have to use it on a hotel stay. You can choose from a ton of different gift certificates. Like, pottery barn, gap etc. I was very excited to learn that myself. :D

We NEED a hotel stayThere are tons of wonderful businesses to choose from, but my husband and I desperately need a break. We haven't had a real vacation since 1993!!!!! I'm trying to really build up my shows so that next year I earn an actual trip :D

I'm a SAHM of an almost 4 year old boy and a 1 year old girl. I do have a very PT job where I work twice a month at a psychiatric hospital on the child/adolscent inpatient unit as an individual, group and family therapist. I have a masters in counseling and this is what I did full time before my son was born. Pampered Chef is the PERFECT balance for me! My other job allows me to keep my foot in the door, keep my skills current and use my masters degree with minimal time commitment.

At my shows I say my favorite job is being a mommy and my next favorite is doing PC which really allows me to stay home and have balance in my life. :D

I alsoam a SAHM of a 2 year old and a 5 year old. I had worked PC part time as my only job for over a year and a half. Due to the recent split up of me and my fiance, Iam now really trying to make this full time. With the cost of day care I just can not afford to pay for it and work , in my area it would cost me on the low end $375.00 a week for both of my kids in day care. really hoping my calender fills up !

D-I'll pray your calendar fills up!
I must be the only one here that works outside the home! I'm a tech specialist for our school system. I work at an elem school which is fun. I keep the school running and help the kids too. Its fun and the best part is I am off at 3:15 and have my summers free for PChef. I would give anything to make PC my full time career but I cant give up my benefits and retirement with the school system either. :)

I'm a SAHM with a 4 year old son and two step daughters ages 11 & 13. 2 cats and 4 dogs. I am baby sitting right now Monday-Friday for a 2 year old and Mon, Wed & Fri for a 1 & 3 year old. The 2 year old is only a temporary thing. I told my cousin I would keep him until Christmas to help her out since I am a cheap baby sitter. I use to baby sit full time and quit to do PC full time. Well, all the kids parents came back and asked me to do it again. I said I would only do it part time because it is just too hard to get PC stuff done (like all those calls I need to be making from my Taste of Home show!!). I'm really wishing now I hadn't told my cousin I would watch her little boy until the end of the year. I've got a lot of things I could be doing on Tuesdays and Thursdays with no kids hear except my son. Oh well. I will get those calls made some how. Actually, I just came back to check emails and get on the phone when the two year old just came to me and said "I pooped", so I guess I better go and change a diaper first! :D

I am a SAHM of a two boys ages 5 and 16 months. I also babysit a 7 month old full time and a 7 year old after school only. Luckily for me both of their parents work for the school systems out here so I don't have to worry about the summers. I am hoping to eventually make PC my full time job. That way when my own kids get older I don't have to go back to work for someone else.

SahmI am a stay at home mom with my 2 month old son. PC is my part-time job/hobby. I decided I wanted to spend all the time I could with my baby. My husband is in the military so he is gone for half the year. Daycare would be WAY to expensive even if I wanted to go back to work!!

I am also a SAHM with a 2 year old daughter (#2 is in the talks!) and since we are mentioning pets too - 2 dogs who are also like children!!. I used to be a reading teacher prior to becoming a mommy. After I had my daughter, I made the decision to stay at home with my baby. I started PC about a year and a half later - I've been active for 7 months as part time. I am also a military wife which is also a job all on it's own. I am also involved in a wives club with my husband's unit. But my husband made the decision to leave the military after his contract is up. We just sent out his resume in hopes he'll find a job within 9 months. We will be moving to Texas closer to both of our families and we cannot wait! And yes I do plan on taking my business with me! I love it!!

Me, too, 3, 4...I am also a stay-at-home mother of 4!!!! Yes FOUR! My 5 year old is in K-5! So he's in school all day. I have a 4 year old at home, along with a 2 year old & a 5 month old. All girls, but my 5 year old.

I started PC when I was pregnant w/ my now 4 yr. old. I'm also a basketball coaches wife, so juggling pc w/ basketball season is ALWAYS FUN!!! I'm the head of my husband's computer stat team during the season! (we do live stats on a lap-top cpu during the game, saves from doing them at home via video after the game! It's also a way to keep the bookkeepers on their toes!)
I can hand the coaches box scores during the games to show them how their teams are perfoming (foul shot %, shots made/missed %, etc). I KNOW BORING TO ANYONE WHO DOESN'T LIKE BASKETBALL!!!

Anyway...sold PC for a while, then took a break & now I'm at it again. Use to work full-time as a Lab Tech in a chemical & dye lab, then transferred into the Customer Service end of the business! JUST CAN'T STAY AWAY FROM PAMPERED CHEF...LOVE IT TOO MUCH!!! I was a customer for over 2 years before signing.

Like everyone else...I LOVE MY JOB!!!! (I say this at my shows, 1000 times!) I also tell at my shows, that it's my day "AWAY" so please call me 'Julie', not 'Honey', 'Mommy', or 'Mrs. Herman!!' If I'm called the latter 3, I will not answer you at a PC party!!!! LOL!

As I have said many times on this web-site, I love it! Thank you all for posting such great ideas! It's nice to know, you're not alone! :D

PC only jobI just started Pampered Chef instead of getting a regular 9-5 and having my daughter in daycare. I like that my income is directly linked to the amount I work it really keeps me motivated. I can work in my pajamas at home and I can work at night so my husband is home to watch our daughter. I LOVE MY JOB

I'm a SAHM of a 20 month old and am pregnant with baby #2. (No one knows this except for you all!) I also run a playgroup for about 40 moms that meets weekly. PC is a part-time job for me, but I plan on it being more as my children grow.

I just love it!I work a full time job, I'm an Engineering Project Manager. I started PC about a year ago, beacuse I wanted to try something different which I couldn't do at work. I wasn't sure I'd stick to it, but after my 1st month, I was loving the FREE produst, the extra $, and the people! I have stuck with and juggled things including life with 2 kids, a dog, and a cat.. I was able to become a director in just 10 months! Sometimes life is hectic, but flexible!! :)

Jennifer---that's a HUGE playgroup! I can't imagine one that big. I assume that not everyone comes every time. I'm involved in three different ones, but I'm not always able to make each one. At the most, we've had 8 or 9 moms come, but most have two kids (one has three already) and it's a ZOO! I can't imagine 40 moms.

ChefDebB---that's great that you're a director in addition to a full time job!! I can't imagine that either. Way to go! You must be very organized. I admire that. :D

1. Is Pampered Chef your full-time job?

No, Pampered Chef is not my full-time job. I have a separate full-time job, but I also work as a Pampered Chef consultant on the side.

2. How often do you work for Pampered Chef?

I typically work for Pampered Chef a few evenings a week and on weekends. However, I am always available to schedule parties and events at any time that is convenient for my customers.

3. Do you make enough money working for Pampered Chef?

As a consultant, I make a commission on the products I sell and the parties I host. I also have the potential to earn bonuses and incentives. While it is not my main source of income, I do make a decent amount of money working for Pampered Chef.

4. Do you have any other sources of income besides Pampered Chef?

Yes, I have a full-time job as well as other side gigs. Pampered Chef is just one of my sources of income.

5. Is it difficult to balance your full-time job and working for Pampered Chef?

It can be challenging at times, but I make sure to plan and schedule my time effectively. I am passionate about both my full-time job and Pampered Chef, so it is important for me to find a balance between the two.
