I received a HO lead from an organizer of a chapter in this organization. Anyone have any experience with it.. good, bad??

This is the organization that Laura Wells (former PC consultant) is involved with. Don't know much about it other than that.

Looks like a networking thing, much like BNI, but for women only.

I'm in one and I really like it. Very structured, I have not as yet gotten a lot of business from it but I have done a little. It's fun.

I've never heard of it. But it looks like it's $20 to attend & if you are the first one from your "industry", that you get to stand up & do a 3 minute spiel about your business. So is it just sales pitches all night?

They usually let one, maybe two people highlight their business, do a business meeting (treasurer, secretary reports) and then a speaker. Often a meal is involved. There is also time for networking. Often these groups do charity and volunteer work in the community too.
