I have a family that im doing a party for this month and her son has nut, egg and milk allergies. She wants me to try to find a recipe that he can enjoy. I thought I would do the chocolate lava cake and just use egg replacers but does anyone have any other ideas for appitizers or desserts? Thanks!! :)

I would ask her what he can eat. Some nut allergies are they cant eat the nut others is more severe where they cant eat anything if it was made in a factory that processes nuts.

Don't be too afraid to go "off script". When the occassion calls for it use specialized diet recipes, or adapt one of your own your comfortable with. I have had great success with some of our family favs and you are more at ease with a recipe you are familiar with.:chef:

how about a build your own potato bar? or sundae bar? or chicken your way, 30 minute chicken (although I'd caution the host about stoneware and allergies-not good). You will want to make something in cookware, not stoneware, unless the host has her own dcb.

my grandson is the same with egg, dairy & tree nut allergies. Stick with salsas and chicken your way. The egg substitutes still contain a dairy derivative. Be careful using our seasonings as they are processed in a tree nut facility. Do a sampling party. Have her provide ingredients she knows are "safe" such as tofu sour cream etc....use the pineapple wedger etc..and have a "wedgie" party. Just some ideas:love:
