Getting Started With Fundraisers

Remember, word of mouth can also be a powerful tool in spreading the word about your fundraiser. In summary, to start doing fundraisers, you should research potential groups, reach out to your network and utilize social media, attend local events and contact businesses, utilize online platforms and send personalized emails, attend networking events and collaborate with other fundraisers, and be persistent in your efforts.

I would like to start doing Fundraisers but I really don't know how to even contact groups that might be interested.

Go to the files section and search fundraiser. There are some good sample letters on there. Just start out w/ you local schools, churches and daycares. Word of mouth may get you some leads also. As the Chamber where you live they maybe able to get you a list or something also. At least this is the advice I got when I asked not to long ago, and it helped me greatly!!
Good luck and God Bless
Jennifer

1. Identify potential groups: Start by researching different groups and organizations in your community that align with your cause or mission. This could include schools, churches, non-profits, sports teams, community organizations, or local businesses.2. Reach out to your network: Ask friends, family, and colleagues if they know of any groups or organizations that might be interested in a fundraiser. They may have connections or suggestions that you hadn't thought of.3. Utilize social media: Use social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to reach out to potential groups. You can join local community groups or use hashtags to connect with organizations in your area.4. Attend local events: Attend community events, fairs, or festivals to network and meet potential groups in person. This can be a great opportunity to introduce yourself and your cause, and potentially find interested organizations.5. Contact local businesses: Reach out to local businesses, particularly those that align with your cause, and ask if they would be interested in hosting a fundraiser or partnering with you for a fundraiser.6. Utilize online platforms: There are many online platforms, such as Fundly, GoFundMe, or Kickstarter, that allow you to create and promote fundraising campaigns. These platforms can help you reach a larger audience and connect with potential groups.7. Send personalized emails: If you have a specific group or organization in mind, consider sending a personalized email explaining your cause and how they can get involved. Be sure to include all the necessary information and make it easy for them to say yes.8. Attend networking events: Attend networking events in your community to meet and connect with potential groups that may be interested in your fundraiser.9. Collaborate with other fundraisers: Reach out to other fundraisers or organizations in your community and see if you can collaborate on a joint fundraiser. This can help you reach a larger audience and increase your chances of success.10. Be persistent: Don't get discouraged if you don't get a response right away. Follow up with organizations and be persistent in your efforts to reach out and connect with potential groups.
