Pampered Chef: GC Beer Bread Mix in Crock- Question ??

    I love the Beer Bread Mix. I love cooking it in the crock. I do have one problem. When it is done, the outside of the bread is pretty thick and crusty. It makes it difficult to cut it into nice slices because the outside layer is so tough and thick. Is there anything I can do to change the texture of the outside of the bread. :confused:
