Director Fresh Team Contests to Motivate & Inspire

In summary, the team is doing a poker chip incentive contest in place of ribbons or other rewards. They are giving out prizes for attendance at the monthly meeting, making contacts, learning new things, and achieving sales or recruiting goals.

Anyone running in fun contests with their teams? I am looking for something to motivate and inspire. I ran a 3 contact a day contest in Janaury that was successful. Want something fresh

I don't know if you call this a contest and/or 'fun' but here's something we are doing in our entire cluster as incentives. Instead of ribbons, mardi gras beads etc... we're doing poker chips (amazon had best price) based on the Vegas level trip theme. When they attend the team meeting, they get one chip for each category (if applicable).
Here's the wording from the flyer we use:
You will receive ONE poker chip for achieving the following*:
•Attending the monthly meeting
•Contacts made (must use form)
•3 things learned from a training (example - online training, show observation, company event, new consultant call, business builder call)
•Going Green $150
•$750 in sales
•$1250 in sales
•$2500 in sales
•$4000 in sales
•Signing a new recruit
•Qualifying a new recruit
•#1 in SALES
•#1 in recruiting
*In order to receive any poker chips, you must be in attendance at the monthly team meeting. If you have hospitality, please contact your Director to inquire about this.
**There will be a poker chip cash-out available every quarter in 2012

AND they can gamble and not turn them in and turn them all in for cash ($1 per chip) if they earn the trip. (Maximum value: $144)

Otherwise they can cash them in for supplies/products that we put out with values on them.

Also, my AD does a monthly "beat our best" challenge with a new reward each month. Either the team is just on fire or it really works as we rarely miss beating our best (as a team). Its in either sales and/or recruiting.

Prizes range from chocolate indulgence at next month's team meeting, gourmet choc/caramel covered apples, pie fest, free dessert at SL (for those who had $1250 in sales in Dec), free rooms at conference (WOOT! LOVED that one!) etc.
