Fun and Educational Activities for Kids Only!

Which is why I thought these cookies would be the perfect thing to make with my little guy. He loved mixing them and rolling them into balls. He was also a big fan of flattening them with the bottom of a bowl. And he really loved tasting them!Adorable! So easy to make and oh-so-cute!In summary, the conversation includes various creative and fun food and snack ideas for kids. These include powdered sugar doughnut snowmen, kid sushi made with Rice Krispie treats, grape caterpillars, secret message bananas, sour patch grapes, pancake art, ice cream for breakfast, marshmallow dipped in white chocolate, Oreos decorated as moon phases, clothespin butterflies, fish-shaped
So many cute ideas! Sammy and I will have to make some of these.

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes ice cream cone cupcakes420918_182231105260139_810987906_n.jpg

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

3 scoops of cake batter into the ice cream cone with the Pampered Chef's Small Scoop. This is the perfect amount of cake batter!
(About 1/4 C of batter.)

Place in a muffin tin to steady them and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes.

Let cool and decorate. The Pampered Chef's Easy Accent Decorator would work perfectly for creating the "ice cream" look, on top of the cone.

Watermelon Pops watermelon pops.jpg

Watermelon Pops

Here are your ingredients:
Recipe adapted from America's Test Kitchen

5 cups seedless watermelon pulp
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
1 pint lime sherbet, softened

Puree watermelon and sugar in batches in your blender or food processor until smooth and strain into a medium bowl. Cover and freeze until puree is slightly slushy, but not quite solid, about 2 to 3 hours. Remove from freezer, stir well and add in chocolate chips.

Place twelve 5-ounce disposable cups in a shallow baking pan and spoon watermelon puree into cups, leaving about a 1/2 inch left from the rim. Place pan in freezer for 2 hours, or until puree is solid, but not rock hard.

Allow lime sherbet to soften a bit, then spread over top of each portion of watermelon puree so that it comes up to the edge of the cup. Smooth sherbet with the back of a spoon and cover each cup with plastic wrap. Cut a small slit in the center of each cup and insert a popsicle stick into each pop so that it almost reaches the bottom of the cups. Freeze overnight (or until solid) and can be frozen for up to two days.

Allow pops to sit at room temperature for about a minute, then gently pull out from the cups. Serve and enjoy!

1 envelope taco seasoning
1 package (12-1/2 ounces) nacho tortilla chips, crushed
