Delicious Fluted Pan Apple Cake Ideas | Micro-Friendly Dessert Inspiration

In summary, there are two delicious dessert options that can be made in a fluted pan using apples. The first option is Quick Apple Crisp, which involves layering quartered apples in the pan and topping them with a mixture of cake mix, sugar, cinnamon, butter, and pecans. The second option is Mom's Apple Crisp, which involves slicing apples and placing them in the pan before topping them with a mixture of graham crackers, brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and butter. Both desserts can be cooked in the microwave and served warm with ice cream or whipped cream. Another option is an apple upside-down cake, which involves melting butter and brown sugar in the pan, arranging sliced apples on top

I have a host that has requested a dessert using apples. Is there any cake that works in the micro in the fluted pan using apples?

I don't see why you couldn't do the Quick Apple Crisp in the fluted pan......

Quick Apple Crisp
5 Granny Smith apples
1 pkg. (9 oz.) yellow cake mix
2 tbsp. sugar
*1 tbsp. Panty Cinnamon Plus
¼ c. butter (room temp.)
½ c. pecans

Using the A/P/C/S do the apples and then quarter them and layer in the bottom. Chop pecans using Food Chopper. Melt butter in the small micro cooker. Combine cake mix, sugar, cinnamon plus, butter and pecans in Classic Batter Bowl and combine until crumbly. Pour over top of cake mix and microwave for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly.

Yummm.....I'm thinking I need some now and with vanilla ice cream!!

Here's another one that's very similar, but different enough!

Mom's Apple Crisp
Ingredients:
4-6 Granny Smith apples
8 graham crackers (2 1/2 x 5 inches), finely chopped
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup quick or old-fashioned oats
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
Whipped cream or ice cream (optional)

Directions:
1. Peel, core and slice apples using Apple Peeler/Corer/Slicer. Cut apples in half; place in Deep Dish Baker. (don't see why you couldn't use fluted stone)

2. Finely chop graham crackers using Food Chopper; place in Classic Batter Bowl. Add brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix well. Place butter in Small Micro-Cooker(R); microwave on HIGH 1 minute or until melted. Add butter; mix well.

3. Sprinkle graham cracker mixture evenly over apples. Microwave on HIGH 12-15 minutes or until apples are tender, rotating dish after 6 minutes. Cool slightly; serve warm topped with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.

Yes, there is a delicious apple upside-down cake that can be made in a fluted pan and cooked in the microwave. Here is the recipe:Ingredients:- 1/2 cup unsalted butter- 1/2 cup brown sugar- 2 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced- 1 cup all-purpose flour- 1 teaspoon baking powder- 1/4 teaspoon salt- 1/2 cup granulated sugar- 1/4 cup vegetable oil- 1 egg- 1/2 cup milk- 1 teaspoon vanilla extractInstructions:1. In a microwave-safe fluted pan, melt the butter and brown sugar together in the microwave for 1-2 minutes, until the sugar is dissolved.2. Arrange the sliced apples on top of the butter and sugar mixture in a single layer.3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.4. In another bowl, beat together the granulated sugar, vegetable oil, egg, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.6. Pour the batter over the apples in the pan, spreading it evenly.7. Microwave on high for 8-10 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.8. Let the cake cool for 5 minutes before inverting it onto a serving platter. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired. Enjoy your delicious apple upside-down cake!

What are some ideas for using the Fluted Pan to make apple desserts?

1. Apple Crisp: Layer sliced apples, cinnamon, sugar, and oats in the Fluted Pan and bake for a delicious and easy dessert.2. Apple Cake: Mix together a cake batter and pour it into the Fluted Pan. Add sliced apples on top and bake for a stunning and tasty cake.3. Apple Tart: Roll out pie crust and place it in the Fluted Pan. Arrange sliced apples on top and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon before baking.4. Apple Pie Bites: Cut pie crust into small circles and press them into the Fluted Pan cups. Fill with diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon and bake for mini apple pies.5. Caramel Apple Galette: Roll out pie crust and place it in the Fluted Pan. Add sliced apples and drizzle with caramel before folding the edges of the crust over the apples and baking.
