Pampered Chef: Flower silicone cupcakes

  1. Has anyone used this pan before? I used it for the first time today to make some lemon cupcakes. I really wasnt as pleased as I thought I would be. The flower didnt come out as much as I had hoped and no matter how little I baked them there were to golden on top..

I think Im going to try and make some flower jello jigglers with it next time.

    So I guess two questions.
1.) have you used it? How did you like it
2.) have you used it for anything other than cupcake/muffins

If they're getting too brown on top, try lowering your oven temp.

As for the flower, here are a couple of hints. It will be sharper if you use plain oil instead of one of the sprays with flour (like Baker's Joy). Tap the filled pan on the counter a couple of times in order to force the batter into each little nook and cranny. Be sure to let them rest in the pan for 5 full minutes before turning them out.

Did you spray the pan with cooking spray as the directions say to do?

I don't worry about the residue. It's natural with cooking spray.
