I had my first tempting tapas show today. I was really excited about it. I host coached as good as you can host coach. I called her last night and she said there may up to 10 people there which made me even more excited because I was hoping to get alot of bookings to fill up my July and August calendar since this is my last show I have in June. Well, to make a long story short, nobody showed up. Not only was my host dissappointed because she had several people say they were going to come and that they wanted to book a show and they didn't, but I'm dissappointed since I have no more June shows plus this is the first time this has happened to me. I don't understand why so many people said they were coming and didn't. It makes you almost think about quiting although I don't want to because I love PC. I stayed really positive for her and told her she has a good chance of getting alot of outside orders from the people who said they would come. I'm sure she can get at least enough outside orders to make a show. My main concern from this show is how to get bookings from it. I know she is going to tell everyone who orders that no one came to her show(thats just the way she is). So who's going to want to book a show when it went so badly for her. I mean I'm going to try to book shows from her outside orders anyway but I don't know what to say if people say, "well so and so didn't have anyone show up for her show, so I don't want to go through that too." So its been a very discouraging morning for me. Does anybody have any ideas about what to do with this booking situation?
