"Disney Pixar Cars Cake Recipe Needed"

In summary, people have used the "CARS" movie for children's birthday cakes, including making a race track with torte pans and Oreos as gravel.

I have been perusing the web looking at all the really cool ideas people have put together using the "CARS" movie for their kids' birthday cakes. My son turns 3 next week and I always make him his cake from scratch and his birthday theme ithis year is CARS. Anyone have any experience using our PC stuff to make a track or car cake? I was thinking the torte pan set kind of look like wheels to begin with but I don't need that huge of a cake. I then was thinking of making a couple sheet cakes using the Lg St Bar Pan and making a racetrack out of it but would love to hear from someone who already had the experience before I create a disaster!
Thanks

One of my friends did a race track with 2 8inch round cakes side by side and did green grass and a track in a figure 8 I believe she found it in family fun magazine

I did this cake a few years ago and it was really easy!

Here is my mom's birthday cake- I can't remember why she had a Cars cake, but we got it done at the local Fred Meyer...

Spiderman CakeI just have to share this one since we are talking about homemade theme birthday cakes. My DH did this one with the help of quite a few of my PC goodies:

Thanks!! I have seen some of these out there but didn't know if anyone had experimented with our own torte pans or could offer any advice on how they made one themselves in the past. Much appreciated and I love the way oreos are used as gravel on the racetrack cake and the green sprinkles for grass! My son loves sprinkles!

1. How do I make a Disney Pixar Cars themed cake?

To make a Disney Pixar Cars themed cake, you will need a basic cake mix, food coloring, and a car-shaped cake pan. Follow the instructions on the cake mix and add food coloring to achieve the desired colors for the cake. Once the cake is baked and cooled, use frosting to decorate the cake with the iconic Cars characters and logos.

2. What kind of frosting should I use for a Cars cake?

You can use any type of frosting for a Cars cake. However, if you want to achieve a smooth and professional-looking finish, we recommend using buttercream or fondant. These types of frosting can easily be shaped and molded to create the Cars characters and logos.

3. Can I use a regular cake pan instead of a car-shaped one?

Yes, you can use a regular cake pan if you do not have access to a car-shaped one. After baking the cake, you can use a template or stencil to cut the cake into the desired shape. You can also use frosting to decorate the cake and create the Cars theme.

4. How far in advance can I make a Cars themed cake?

We recommend making the cake no more than 1-2 days in advance. This will ensure that the cake stays fresh and the frosting does not melt or become too hard. If you need to make the cake further in advance, you can bake and freeze the cake layers, then assemble and decorate the cake on the day of your event.

5. Can I make a Disney Pixar Cars cake without using food coloring?

Yes, you can make a Cars themed cake without using food coloring. Instead, you can use colored frosting or fondant to create the desired colors for the cake. You can also use fruit or other natural ingredients to add color to the cake. Keep in mind that the colors may not be as vibrant as they would be with food coloring.
