I am wondering if someone can answer a question that was posed to me by one of my hosts? They were wondering if there is a trick to using the discontinued Decorative loaf pans to prevent the batter from ovrflowing (besides the obvious filling them with less batter)?

The bread tubes were only supposed to be filled 1/2-2/3 full to allow for the bread/batter to expand. They are also supposed to be baked standing upright to get the full effect of the design even if the tube doesn't fill completely.

Fold a piece of aluminum foil several times, until it is a little larger than the end of the bread tube. Place over the end of the tube, then cover with the cap. Fill the tube 2/3 full (1/2 full for the star shaped tube), then place in a pie pan with the foil covered end on the bottom, and bake. Oh, make sure you have sprayed the tube and the other end cap with Pam.

Hi there! I'm happy to help with your question about the discontinued Decorative loaf pans. One trick that I have found to be helpful is to lightly coat the inside of the pan with cooking spray before adding the batter. This can help prevent sticking and overflow. Another tip is to place a baking sheet under the loaf pan while it is in the oven to catch any potential overflow. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. Happy cooking!
