A JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) is a commonly used file format for storing digital images. It uses lossy compression, which means it reduces the file size by sacrificing some image quality.
You can view a JPEG image on any device with an image viewing software, such as your computer, smartphone, or tablet. Simply double-click on the image file to open it or use a web browser to view it online.
You can create a JPEG image with a variety of software programs, such as Adobe Photoshop or Microsoft Paint. Simply open the image you want to convert and save it as a JPEG file.
The main difference between JPEG and other image formats is the compression method used. JPEG uses lossy compression, while other formats like PNG or TIFF use lossless compression. This results in different levels of image quality and file sizes.
Since JPEG uses lossy compression, editing and saving a JPEG image multiple times can result in a loss of image quality. To avoid this, it is recommended to make a copy of the original image and work on the copy instead.
