In summary, for a cobb salad platter while waiting for pizza to cook, start with a bed of greens, add traditional ingredients like eggs, chicken, bacon, and avocado, along with some colorful veggies and cheese. Consider adding grilled veggies or grains for variety, and serve with dressing on the side for guests to customize. I'm doing a show next week for a friend...We are doing a pizza as the main recipe...she asked if we could put together a cobb salad on a platter while we wait for the pizza to cook...any ideas???

I would put together a cobb salad with romaine lettuce (cut into large chuncks off the head with the crinkle cutter), bacon (ridged pan), tomato (veggie wedger), Cucumber (mandoline/simple slicer), and put them all in the large collapsible bowl. Pass the bowl around with the salad choppers and let everyone try it, to chop the salad. The bowl is lightweight enough to pass around, everyone tries the choppers. When it gets back to you, voila, chopped salad, grate cheese (grater of your choice), top with dressing (Measure Mix and pour), display on dots large round bowl. 10 minutes salad, easily over $150 in products, happy campers. If you don't want to pass the bowl, have them come up and chop the salad, but then not all with try it and it's not as "wow".

Here are some ideas for putting together a cobb salad platter while waiting for the pizza to cook:1. Start by arranging a bed of mixed greens or lettuce on a large platter. You can use a variety of greens such as romaine, spinach, arugula, and kale.2. Slice and arrange hard-boiled eggs, cooked and sliced chicken breast, crumbled bacon, and diced avocado on top of the greens. These are all traditional ingredients in a cobb salad.3. Add some color and crunch to the platter by adding sliced cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, and diced red onion.4. Sprinkle crumbled blue cheese or feta cheese over the top of the salad.5. For a twist, you can also add some grilled vegetables such as bell peppers, zucchini, and mushrooms to the platter.6. To make it more filling, you can also add some cooked quinoa or couscous to the salad.7. Serve the salad with a side of vinaigrette dressing for guests to drizzle over their portion.8. For a fun presentation, you can also arrange the ingredients in rows or sections on the platter, similar to a traditional cobb salad presentation.9. If you want to make it a bit more interactive, you can also provide guests with small bowls or plates and let them create their own individual cobb salads using the ingredients on the platter.10. Lastly, don't forget to add some fresh herbs, such as chopped parsley or cilantro, for a pop of flavor and color. Enjoy your cobb salad platter while waiting for the pizza to cook!

1. What is the difference between a Chopped and Cobb Salad?

A Chopped Salad typically has all of the ingredients finely chopped and mixed together, while a Cobb Salad has ingredients arranged in rows on top of a bed of lettuce.

2. Can I substitute any ingredients in a Chopped or Cobb Salad?

Yes, you can customize your salad to your liking by substituting any ingredients you prefer. Just make sure to have a good balance of flavors and textures.

3. Is there a specific dressing that goes best with a Chopped or Cobb Salad?

It's all about personal preference, but for a Chopped Salad, a vinaigrette or light dressing is recommended to avoid weighing down the chopped vegetables. For a Cobb Salad, a creamy dressing like ranch or blue cheese is a popular choice.

4. How do I make sure my Chopped or Cobb Salad is well-balanced?

To ensure a well-balanced salad, try to include a mix of protein, vegetables, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates. You can also add some fruit or nuts for added flavor and nutrients.

5. Can I make a Chopped or Cobb Salad ahead of time?

Yes, both salads can be prepared ahead of time. Just make sure to keep the dressing on the side and add it right before serving to prevent the salad from becoming soggy.
