Hi there, Is anyone going on the week long cruise and are you booking your shore activities now? If you have any experience with this area/shore activities, can you please advise me which are a waste of time and which do we not want to miss? I'll be traveling with my kids, 7, 5, 2 1/2. Thanks so much for your input!

You might want to check out a website like this one --that's what I did before my husband I cruised a few years ago.

Congrats on earning the week-long trip! My husband and I will be going on the 4-nighter the first week in May. I'm excited. I've always earned (and enjoyed) the hotel certificates. . .but I'm REALLY looking forward to being Pampered in style.

Just went!

I just took the week-long cruise back in January (although I had to pay for it!) and it was awesome! You can e-mail me with any questions you have if you'd like. As far as the excursions go, we waited until we boarded to book them, and there was still plenty of space. Also, the people who help you book can give you more information than the booklet you get about them. Have an awesome time!

My husband and I will be there with you (1st week in May)! Have you gotten your tickets yet? I haven't. :( But I can't wait! :D

I'll be there too! I can't wait for May 4-8th for the 5 day Caribbean cruise!! I'm anxiously awaiting the tickets. :D Do you know if there's a way to see which cabin they booked us in? I wonder what kind of room we'll get! I am really excited because we've never been on a cruise before!:D

They sent me an email saying that the staterooms are booked according to your level, how many TPC's categories you're at, how many points you have and if you were in the top 100 recruiting challenge. I am a director, didn't get TPC in even one category last year, and had around 68,000 points. I suppose this puts me in one of the cheaper rooms, but that's ok- I don't really want to spend much of the trip in the room anyhow.

I used to travel in very luxurious accomodations and stayed in beautiful suites on the cruises, but the ships always keep the best views for the public areas, so why waste your vacation watching TV in your room!

Well, my husband and I checked out the Royal Caribbean web site for our trip. Using our massive powers of deduction:rolleyes: , we found out that all the Balcony Rooms were sold out. So, we’re guessing that those are the rooms that Pampered Chef has reserved for us. I’m sure that there are higher level folk who may be moved up to the Deluxe & Suite level . . .but the “Balcony Rooms” are the second most expensive rooms listed.

Visit the RC web site. If you copy and past this address, it may take you directly to the page where our sailing date/ship information is listed.
And no, we don’t have our tickets yet.

I’m so excited! I hope I get to meet some of you! I’ve really enjoyed reading everyone’s wonderful ideas and trying to share some of what has worked for me.

When we went we had an oceanview stateroom that on the boat map looks like the slums :D , but we had an awesome window and we were right near the theater, casino, and one of the clubs. We only had to walk up one deck to go outside. Some of the friends we went with had a balcony, but honestly I have to say we never felt like we needed one.
One thing I recommend is sitting in on the informational sessions they have each day before the next port. They give you tips on where to get transportation, what to see, and where to get the best deals on shopping. We just happened to catch the last one about the Bahamas and wished we had seen the others.
I do have a tip for those of you worried about being seasick. I wore the Seabands the first night and still got sick. I took 2 Dramamine and went straight to bed. After that I bought some non-drowsy motion sickness medicine (Bonnie?) and at any sign of sickness I took one and was fine the rest of the time. I think I only took 4 total the rest of the week. For some reason the ocean was really choppy the week we went. In fact, many of the snorkeling trips were cancelled beacause the water wasn't very clear, and it was pretty windy at most of the ports we stopped at.
I could probably write about 10 pages worth of tips and info. I am so jealous of those of you who get to go. I would go again in a heartbeat!!
