Experience Paradise in Aruba: Beach, Palms & Ocean Await!

In summary, the company is offering a trip to Aruba for consultants who meet a certain sales goal. The average temperature there is 28 degrees Celsius and there is a beach, palm trees, and the ocean. Consultants are encouraged to get ready for the trip by getting in shape. The points required to earn the trip are the same as they were for the previous year's trip to Paris and there is a chance to earn extra perks or extensions for the trip. Canadian consultants only have one trip level, but can choose between a $700 conference cash or a $1100 gift certificate/cheque. They also have the option to buy extensions and bring their children on the trip. There is excitement and motivation among consultants to earn the trip,

Just curious... are Canadian consultants offered just one trip? Meaning, is there just one level to earn a trip? In the US, we have the basic gift certificate level (level one), then 2007 level two was the cruise, level 3 was DC or London and level 4 was either for upper level or extra perks on the DC or London trip. Just wondering...

Colleen - there was some discussion on another thread about the fact that Canadians only have one level -they were wishing there were different levels like here in the States.

I couldn't wait 'til tomorrow, Heather!!! That's very exciting!!! :D I guess I'll have to act "surprised" on my call tomorrow....hehe ;)

Yahoo!!!!
I couldn't believe it!!! This is great! I'm due to have my baby in February and curently on sick leave from my full time job. But guess what I will be working my ass off during my maternity leave!!! Got 1 year to do it! I need to prove to my family that Pampered Chef is going to send me to my first trip south!!!!

Just one question, has anyone been on maternity leave and worked their business at the same time. Just questionning on how to claim it on my EI. It's kind of confusing for me. If you have any tips for me, it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hope to see you all in ARUBA!!! Yahoo!!!!!

Ok, Heather...I know you announced this for Canadians, but to be honest, I wasn't sure if I should be excited about 28c weather! I'm so bad with that kind of stuff. That is awesome though, and all I could think of was "Aruba, Jamaica, oh I want to take you..." that Beach Boy Song from the late 80's. Have fun and happy selling!

Hey Tina! Hello from PEI! :) To answer your mat leave question...I do believe you have to claim everything. At the time I was on mat leave, I was down as owner for one of our race horses and switched it over to my DH's name, just in case. Didn't want to take any chances! You could call Service Canada and find out for sure, though.

I'm going to Moncton in March for the Spring Training session. Maybe we'll see eachother there! :)

Okay you guys got me wishing & hoping & fingers/toes crossed that our trip is Aruba too. So I have a few questions, your leadership is with ours in Cinci right? So why did you guys get your trip destination before? I guess I am just trying to find out if our trip has any chance of being Aruba? Let me know what you think!

  • #17
I think theirs is announced early because they have such a different program than in the US. And there will be such a higher percentage of US consultants at Leadership than Canadian consultants - it would confuse much of the crowd to have to explain it.

  • #18
Ann I just would love for it to be Aruba, but I thought the same thing. "US consultants you will be going to blah blah, & canadian consultants you are going to Aruba! I guess I was thinking that they would try linking us more together like same incentive.

Since the Natalie Holloway case is still quite fresh and painful for many Americans I would be surprised if it was one of our incentives. Personally, I'd take the cash buy-out if I earned it.

me too----

  • #21
When (not if) I ever earn a trip, I'm taking the cash buyout if it's someplace that would require a bathing suit or short sleeves. :) The trip is supposed to be enjoyable for everyone, and that would be too much stress for me and too many nightmares for the other travelers.

Ann, you are way too hard on yourself! When we earn our trip are you going to make come up there and escort you? Because I'll do it! And I bet there are other cheffers who will help me.....we can call it our "Cheffer Vacation Intervention" LMAO!

Count me in Linda!:D :D :D

I don't find Aruba very exciting either. If it was all inclusive, then sure, but if the rooms are $700 per night, just think how expensive meals and beverages will be.... Europe is exciting with the history and culture. But a caribbean destination is all the same, beach and ocean, but all inclusive is what I would consider a earned vacation. However good Luck to everyone, a trip is still a trip!

So what was the Canadian trip incentive for 2007?

I'm with you....

I won't be earning the trip but if I did I would want to take money instead and go somewhere with a bit of history.

With that said I hope those who do go have a awsome time.

Well, I am totally wanting this trip! I LOVE the Carribean and am looking forward to the beach, hot sun, delicious drinks and the hot guys....;) ....yes, I am married, but hey, it's not because I'm on a diet that I can't look at the menu, right? LOL

I've been to Aruba twice since the whole Natalie Holloway case started and I have never once felt like I wasn't safe in Aruba. I've even been to the same bars she was in and still felt safe. Aruba gets a bad rap for an unfortunate occurance that happened once there, that happens all the time here in the states and everywhere else.

Patty, Serena, Deeann, Denise, Melanie, Joey, Elissa, Erika, Angela.....

you better not be snooping here!! And if you are, don't tell anyone so it is still a surprize tonight!!!

Can someone tell me the points requirements? I need to know how much sweat this is going to take. I am going to my meeting in a few hours, but I have ZERO self discipline to wait!

I believe it's the same as the Paris trip.

What is the Canadian incentive difference? Have they been the same as the U.S. in the previous years? Or are they always different?
