Canadian Consultants - Tax Benefits, Business Write Offs???

This is my first year doing Pampered Chef and I am hoping one of the Canadian Consultants can explain the Tax Benefits and Business Write Offs for me. I don't fully understand as we are not each registered with the government and do not have a business number... :confused:
 
I have a link & fileon my computer at home & will post it on Tuesday when I get home. I use QuickTax to do my taxes at the end of the year, and I just keep a tally of every bill & reciept we get in the house all year so I can write off as much as possible. There is a place in the tax forms to indicate what type of business you have (I put consulting, then there are sub categories I put kitchen & household , and indicate I am paid commission, not wages.) It works out for us because my hubby & I have 3 small businesses out of our home & each one can write off a certain percentage of our household bills. One of the terrific things about having your own business is that businesses pay their bills then their taxes, which should lower your personal tax bill.

Canadian Tax & Revenue website is great, with a checklist of everything we can write off, limits etc.

You won't need a business #, as long as you are using your own name, Pampered Chef actually has the GST # so we are not required to get one.

I think I found the info on the Revenue Canada website. I'm looking forward to receiving the info that you have at home! Sounds as though it will be a big help. My new recruit is also interested in tax info.... It was a big selling feature for her!
