Bless My Momma, Broken Batter Bowl

Venting! My aunt who lives in Indiana (I'm in TN) emails that she wants to buy her granddaughter a classic batter bowl. My mom moved in with me last year and we not only have 3 of those she just had a fundraiser and got the HWC pink lid ones so I said why don't we just send her one of ours? So my mom takes the box from her pink lidded one, puts the one we are giving her inside, doesn't put it in another box (I got her one from the basement) doesn't even mark it fragile, spends over ten bucks on postage and,you guessed it, it arrives shattered. My uncle said they dropped it to them from an airplane! Bless her heart. Now I will do an individual order and have PC send her one! Sighs......

Wow, that's really frustrating. It's always tough when you try to do a nice gesture and it ends up backfiring. I hope your aunt understands and appreciates the effort you put into getting her granddaughter a classic batter bowl. And it's definitely a lesson learned to always mark fragile items and pack them properly when sending through the mail. Hopefully the individual order from PC goes smoothly and your aunt finally gets her batter bowl without any mishaps. Hang in there!
