When I was self-employed in the past I was advised to set aside 30% and that would cover everything and then some (easier said than done when you live paycheck to paycheck). That's my two cents anyway!
I love that I can work it around an insane schedule between a full-time job, a part-time job, being a part-time nursing student, a wife, and a mother to two boys. I'll be done my full-time job this summer so I can become a full-time nursing student. Being a PC consultant will help keep some $$$...
So after reaching that qualifying level, how long typically does it take for HO to provide access to those benefits? Days? Weeks? Do I need to call HO or does it happen automatically after qualifying status is reached?
Well said! I think that's the most important part, have fun! Remember we all learn as we go. I am still a newbie and have had more catty shows than cooking shows so I'm still "green" but have fun!
Re: Newly qualified... How long before website reflects Bridal Registry and Online OrYes, that makes sense. I went to CC and it's not allowing me to set anything up. I'll wait until mid-week and then check my website. Seeing that it's Sunday I don't expect anything right away. :)
I just submitted my catalog show that gets me to $1250 sales goal within my 90 days. I have a PWS so now I'll be credited 3 free months, if I'm not mistaken. Anyone know how long it typically takes for the website to have access to the Bridal Registry as well as online ordering? I have a bride...
Oh my gosh, is that what I have to look forward to? My husband is 45 years old and we've been married 14 years and he gets worse every year. I do most everything without him now because it's just not worth the hassle and I don't want him ruining things for me, or our kids. Ugh! I feel your...
I did these at my first cooking show and used a baggie to drizzle the butterscotch caramel sauce. Do NOT use cheap baggies! Yup, towards the end of the drizzling the bag exploded all over my hands. The little 5-year-old supervising me loved it, thought it was part of the show, and exclaimed that...
I was just told by HO that my box was delivered to my home this morning (I'm at work). I'm dying sitting here waiting until it's time to leave! Can't wait to see my goodies. I was wondering how/when I was going to get the BBQ grill tray and I'm getting it free! Sweet!!! 4:30, hurry up and get...
I understand where you're coming from. I'm so new to all this that my goal at the moment is getting shows booked and developing rapport and experience. I don't feel I can honestly hit someone up with recruiting info and opportunities until I can experience those opportunities first-hand myself.
Thanks for sharing your experience! My "first show" had one guest show up, and her young daughter was having a sleep-over so I had 3 or 4 screaming girls there "helping" me. I chose to do the taffy apple tartlets since she didn't want me showcasing the DCB because she doesn't use her microwave...
