I want to do a salsa show for my SIL. Does anyone have a good, basic salsa recipe? I don't have the southwest seasoning (no time to order) but I just want a recipe for great salsa that shows off a lot of products. Any help would be appreciated.
You have to just set the stone into the rack evenly, and both sides should sit about 3/4 of an inch above the bottom. This causes the pressure that keeps the stone from sliding. When I set my rectangle stone in the rack, it fits tight enough that you can lift the stone and the rack stays on.
I've just submitted my four shows at the end of March to qualify and earn my Executive Skillet. (Go Me!!!) I have six bookings for the next two months, all from my first four shows. I know the recipe will be different, but what else can I do so that the people who attended my other shows won't...
The last two recipes in each section of the Season's Best Cookbook are Super Starter Recipes. (They use only the products in your kit.) I've been making "Rustic Focaccia" and it's de-lish!!
I've just finished my fourth show to qualify by the end of the month. My director suggested just doing one recipe for these first shows, so I didn't have as much to learn right off the bat. She says she does this even now. I think she has just one or two recipes to choose from for each month. I...
My dh had a great idea of also doing a hamburger/Velveeta dip to show off the micro-cooker. Does anyone have an opinion about doing the Touchdown Taco Dip in the Executive Skillet?
My Sister-in-law booked a show with me for April 30. Her husband is interested in getting the food chopper to make homemade salsa, so I thought it would be fun to do a salsa show. I could maybe make the salsa and maybe the family burrito or touchdown taco dip. Does anyone have any other...
Wow! I think you went well above and beyond what most recruiters do. I can't believe all of the things you did for her! She should have been very well prepared. My director did offer to go with me to my first show, but that was just as a favor. I didn't take it that it was in any way required...
I was entering the sales from my first show, and the show total is $301, but the commissionable sales are only $257. I haven't entered the host order yet, so the only thing I can think of is guest specials. Are they not included in commissionable sales?
You might tell her that when it really settles into that rack, it fits tight enough that you can pick up the stone and the rack will stay attatched. I thought that was a nice bonus feature, because I'm a bit of a klutz! :)
I said this on another thread as well, but the best advice I can give (mind you I've only done one show so far) is to encourage your guests to speak up throughout your demo anytime they have comments or questions. It keeps the atmosphere informal, which did wonders for my nerves. And don't be...
