Actually, the airport to downtown (where conference was last year) is about 26km and the airport to Markham is only about 9 km more - so the fares would be around the same - $50.
If you got to www.worldtaximeter.com the downtown trip costs $2 more. :)
That's too bad about your family trip. :(
Since Markham is about 20 minutes from my house, I will be going. This will be my 4th! I am really looking forward to going.

1 cup water
1/2 cup ketchup (or bbq sauce) divided
1 pkg Stove Top Stuffing Mix
1 egg, lightly beaten
Combine all ingredient except for 1/4 cup of the ketchup. Mix well. Put mixture in your stoneware loaf pan. Spread remaining 1/4 cup of ketchup on top...
