My Love Hate Relationship With the Deep Dish Baker

I absolutely LOVE this pan! My mac and cheese hasn't come out any better. But the handle to the top is HORRIBLE!!!! I just broke my second top. Split it in half because I dropped it due to the handle being so small. That coupled with the top being so heavy because it's stonewear, when you...

Trying to Reach $200 by Monday: Please Help!

Hit people at the job for your husband or your family. Ask your family. If you can find 10 people to donate $20 to your cause, you'll stay active. Start from the beginning and do the list as you did when you first started PC. It's hard now because times are tough, but you'll do it.

Ordering Supplies for a Big Wedding Expo in Phoenix - Tips and Ideas

Wedding registry sign up sheets. I got 12 wedding registries when I did my last expo. If they sign up right then and there, they won't forget about it later. I also did a drawing and got more contacts that way.

Ordering the Heart Shaped Dish: Guest Specials Woes

Are the orders you have worth 150? Maybe the people who want to have shows will be willing to at least buy one of the products that are on special this month as they won't be on special next month. That's another way to get them to at least buy now. Call people who haven't ordered in a while...

    Stoneware Fluted Pan Is Cracking?!

I had the rectangle baker that had 1 hairline crack that extended to 3 and it finally broke. You don't want to have that in your food. Exchange it while it's still under warrantee.

    Vendor's Check Bounced: Now I'm Out $170

At shows I make it a point only to get credit cards or cash just for that reason. That sucks that she gave you a rubber check. Maybe teh show organizer can help you track her down.

    Brother Hl-4070Cdw Laser Printer

I have a Brother 5240-DN. It is a B&W laser printer which is network compatible. I purchased it three years ago and changed the cartridge once, although I may have to change it again within the next month or so. I love it. No problems with it at all. It prints double-sided as well, which is...

Unexpected Purchases and Complaints: My First Show Story

I went to a show where there were only 2 people. It was one of my first shows and the host was a good friend, so I did it, even if it was just for the practice. I did get a booking from the show so it wasn't a total waste. However, the guest that did not book a show only purchased the...

Choosing Between Cats & Dogs: Pros & Cons

I have to say FedEx. In my area, I used to ship daily for a prior business I was in and we used both services. FedEx wa more reliable and if a package was lost, they have an easier lost mitigation process than UPS. Plus, FedEx has Saturday delivery and if I need a package that was...

How Can Hosting 12 Cooking Shows Help Achieve a $6000 Sales Goal in November?

My goal is a $750 month. I have 3 shows so far in November and 1 in December. I also have a bridal show, so hopefully I can get some registries and/or leads from that. Hoping that they go well, I think I can make that goal. Next month will be $1000. Wish me luck!

So in layman terms, what is exactly a tax write off?

Do you do your own taxes or do you see a professional? If you see a professional, they should be able to explain it to you. If you do your own, invest in tax software that covers small business. It will walk you through how to deduct equipment, such as your printer, laptop, telephone, etc...
