Greek cheese torta. Quiche lorraine tartlets are SO good, and can esily be doubled or triples (however if you're short on time, Sam's Club sells REALLY good mini quiches in packs of 60 that are great for parties, I use them alot and save my time and energy for other things). Hmmm... That's all...
Does it matter that the plunger won't go all of the way down? Unless there is a ton of ice in it, the plunger will go down most of the way, and as the ice melts, bits of it will get small enough to float through the gaps up to the top...
Otherwise, how does she put the ice in? If she can...
Actually, what I love (and tell people) about PC tools is that almost all of them DO go in the dishwasher.
The main ones to be careful about are knives (shouldn't put ANY good quality knives in the DW tho' bacause DW detergents are so harsh), non-stick cookware (ditto), bamboo pieces that are...
It sounds as though she is thinking of it as though she is providing a meal for her friends. Might be an idea to reminder her that (depending on the time of the show) they won't be expecting a meal, just a sample of a couple of recipes...
Obviously it isn't a big deal if she is going to cook...

Strawberry amaretto pastries are also quick, easy and would double. Taste fabulous and...
Oh Jean, how stinky... Will say prayers for you. I know you haven't been super happy there so I hope this is a blessing in disguise, but still, VERY STINKY!
Hugs,

Hmmm, I keep thinking that if she ever hosts, she'll realise what else she could have gotten for free/half price...
I think that personally I'd put in the cookware and knives at half price, everything else as "Guest" and then tell her what she has free and if there are more half price items...
Just my 2 cents. I agree that the consultant didn't handle herself well. But on the other hand if I prepared for a show, drove there and had bought the ingredients, I would be pretty upset if I arrived at the show and no-one was there. The host HAS to get RSVP's, and if she thinks no-one will be...
I'd say FC paring knife too. I LOVE my utility knife, but I think it's too big for peeling apples etc. But I agree with Becky, if possible let her try yours out and see which she likes best. It will be good customer service, she'll be happy knowing exactly what she's ordering. And who knows, she...
I think I have you beat! Sort of...
I was holding my serrated peeler today without the guard on (I was looking for it... it's so easy to lose!). ANyway, somehow I ended up holding it with my thumb against the serrated "head", with the serrated parts digging into my thumb-tip. And because of...
What about assembling a trifle if the ingredients were already put together? Or they could cut up a pound cake with the old green/pink plastic knife? Would be funny to see how well it turned out, using the EAD blindfolded would be a hoot!
