I will be doing a show for a Moms Group in their meeting room with limited kitchen facilites. I need ideas for "no cook" recipes that the ladies can help to prepare. This will be after lunchtime but before they have to pickup the older kids from school so it needs to be quick too.
I was...
Did you slice the potatos with one of the knives or the UM? If the UM - what blade - thin or v-shaped?
I always dice my potatos, coat with oil & spices, double wrap in tin foil and throw on the BBQ. I'll have to try them this way, thanks!
I did this Salad Chopper Salsa as an interactive demo and sold 2 at my last show! The guests loved chopping up the ingredients. Then they raved about how good the salsa was!
Good idea about pressing the garlic - I found the garlic was in too large chunks.
I always take the seeds (and...
A friend of mine has a little boy named Kai (K-eye), in Hawaiian it means sea. It's a very pretty name.
When you combined "Kai" with "lee" I automatically pronounced it "Kay-lee", I think the "a" tricks me. I could also hear someone pronouncing it "Kah-lee" - like Kathy. Maybe spelling it...

Choc-Cherry Dump CakeThis intriged me so I made it. It was very yummy.
I made it in the fluted stoneware pan and cooked it for about 40 mins. It was more like a "pudding cake" because I knew I wouldn't be able to flip it out onto a plate without making a mess. I don't think I needed to butter...
I've tried this a few times and have found me once. I'm still trying to figure out if this is case-sensitive and, for us Canadians, postal code "space" there or not sensitive?
I didn't like when it said you've typed the "secret" code in wrong and when I went back I had to re-type everything...
They don't have Dream Dinners or Super Suppers where I'm from (Vancouver, B.C.), but there is a company that does the similar thing called the Carefree Chef. My sisters' and have been meaning to try them out for a while. Their prices seemed reasonable and their menu was varied.
There is also...
You only need half of a regular cake mix?
Oops, I missed that part of the recipe. I guess that's why they overflowed in the microwave. I should have also realized it when the batter was really thick! They still tasted delish!

Here are some ideas:
iced tea in the quick stir pitcher - or cran-raspberry or lemon-lime fizz
little sandwiches using creative cutters, white bread, cream cheese and cucumbers or other "tea" sandwiches fillings - egg salad, strawberry jam and cream cheese
For hot tea use the carafe...
Having just had a baby myself those would be excellent gifts. Another idea might be to order them dinner from a favorite takeout place or bring that night's dinner - ribs or roast chicken with salad, veggies and, of course, dessert for the new mom!
The problem I have with frozen stuff is that...
a west coast christmasI've heard of, and eaten chicken bones candy (pink with chocolate in the middle) but I didn't think it had anything to do with Christmas.
Growing up we would go to my grandparents in the middle of British Columbia, all the other relatives lived there too. There would...
Seeing as our Thanksgiving is a month ahead of our neighbours to the south, I thought I'd ask if anyone is preparing any PC recipes for their dinner?
I've been doing dinners at my house for several years and have some favourite old recipes from my granny. We do potluck so all I'm doing is the...
