Hey all,
I was wondering if it was okay t create my own business cards and print them off at home with an inkjet printer? I'm really just starting out (again!) and don't have a lot of money to spend right now. I was wondering what things, as far as logos and copyrighted material, I can use or have to use on my cards. Just trying to follow the rules! Thanks all!

If you're printing them yourself you have permission to use the logos, photos, and such. If you have them printed, you can't use any of those things unless you order them through Merrill. Details are available in the Consultant Agreement on Consultant's Corner.

There is no problem with creating your own business cards and printing them at home with an inkjet printer. However, there are a few things to consider when it comes to using logos and copyrighted material on your cards:1. Use your own logo: If you have a logo for your business, it's best to use that on your business cards rather than using someone else's logo. This will help to establish your brand and make your business more recognizable.2. Create your own design: It's always best to create your own design for your business cards rather than using pre-made templates or designs from other sources. This will ensure that your cards are unique and reflect your brand accurately.3. Avoid copyrighted material: It's important to avoid using any copyrighted material on your business cards without permission from the owner. This includes images, graphics, and text. If you want to use any copyrighted material, make sure to obtain permission from the owner first.4. Use stock images: If you don't have your own images to use, you can consider using stock images that are available for commercial use. Just make sure to read the terms and conditions of the stock image website to ensure that you are using the images correctly.5. Give credit where it's due: If you do use any images or graphics from other sources, make sure to give credit to the original creator. This could be in the form of a small note on your business card or including the source in your design.Overall, it's important to be mindful of copyright laws and to make sure that you are not infringing on anyone else's rights when creating your business cards. With a little creativity, you can design unique and professional-looking cards that accurately represent your brand.
