Just thought I would share a tip. I drink alot of sweet tea and I always make mine in the classic batter bowl. A guest told me about this and I love it. No more watching the pot to make sure it doesn't over boil, the bags never bust and the tea turns out great. I fill it w/ water, add 3 family size bags and microwave it for 8 minutes.

that's the way I make mine - except I use Splenda. Yum!

When it's done I add sugar to the bottom of my 2 quart quick stir pitcher, pour the hot tea on top and stir. I let it cool and then add ice. It's so easy and no more hot tea dripping on my counter when I remove the bags.I love the batter bowl for making tea too! It's so much easier than using a pot, and it's great for making sun tea too. The amount of sugar needed to sweeten your tea will vary depending on personal preference. We recommend starting with 1/2 cup of sugar for every 8 cups of tea and adjusting to taste.

Can I use alternative sweeteners instead of sugar?

Yes, you can use alternative sweeteners such as honey, agave, or stevia to sweeten your tea. Keep in mind that the amount needed may be different than using sugar, so adjust accordingly.
