Is a Digital Tax the Solution for Fairly Taxing Online Services?

In summary, hosting a show requires a significant amount of time and effort, and may not be the best option for those with busy schedules. There is no pressure to buy products if you host a show, and rewards can still be earned through other methods besides hosting. Providing food at the show is not required, but may be offered if desired. It is possible to change the date or cancel a show, as long as 24 hours notice is given to the consultant.

Brilliant.

The European Commission is proposing to introduce a new digital tax on online services in the EU.The proposal is aimed at ensuring that all companies active in the digital economy, regardless of their location, contribute fairly to public revenue. The tax would apply to companies with total annual worldwide revenues of €750 million or more and EU revenues of €50 million or more. It would be levied at a rate of 3% on revenues from activities that involve user data and the sale of online advertising space. The Commission estimates that the tax would raise €5 billion per year. The tax would be temporary, pending the introduction of a comprehensive reform of the international corporate tax system. The tax would only apply to online services that generate revenue from user data or online advertising, such as social media, search engines, and online marketplaces. It would not apply to online sales of goods and services, as these are already subject to VAT.The digital tax proposal is part of a broader strategy to ensure that the digital economy is fair and sustainable. The Commission is also proposing measures to ensure that digital companies pay their fair share of taxes in the countries where they generate profits, and to prevent tax avoidance by multinational companies. The proposal will now be discussed by the European Parliament and the Council of the EU. It will require the unanimous approval of all EU member states to become law.

1. Why should I not host a show?

Hosting a show requires a significant amount of time and effort, as you will need to invite guests, plan and prepare for the event, and clean up afterwards. If you are already busy or have a hectic schedule, hosting a show may not be the best option for you.

2. Will I be pressured to buy products if I host a show?

No, there is absolutely no pressure to buy products if you host a show. Our goal is for you to have a fun and enjoyable experience with your guests, and any purchases made are completely voluntary.

3. Can I still earn rewards if I don't host a show?

Yes, you can still earn rewards by simply placing an order through a consultant or through our website. Hosting a show is just one way to earn rewards, but it is not required.

4. Will I be responsible for providing food at the show?

As the host, you are not required to provide food at the show. However, you may choose to offer some light refreshments for your guests.

5. Can I change the date or cancel my show after I have already booked it?

Yes, you can change the date or cancel your show, but we ask that you give your consultant at least 24 hours notice. This allows them to make any necessary adjustments to their schedule.
