We are military so moving is part of the deal. We are from Virginia, got married moved to Kansas, then back to Virginia for a year, then to Texas for 8 years (loved it there) then back to Virginia for several months, then to a military post in Germany, then back to Virginia for several months and now we are in Southern New Jersy. And should be moving at the end of 2009! I'm actually looking forward to the move because I don't like New Jersey even though this is the closest we have lived to our "home" state in 14 years.

I lived in Western Massachusetts until 2 1/2 years ago, and now live in the Greensboro area of NC. My DH's job brought us here. My dad lives in the Myrtle Beach area (only 3.5 hours away), so we do weekend trips to see him and his family 2-3 times a year. In fact, my sister (from Northwest CT) will be visiting him the first week of Nov., so we will make the trip to visit her. I enjoy the weather here, and have made many friends. Not sure if I would have had the same success with my business if I had started it in MA.

I have relocated to Raleigh NC from TN! I hope to get my business up and running again very soon! I am overwhelmed by the amount of work ahead...new friends, new home, new neighbors and schools or my kids. Actually, I am pretty revved up because that means new PC customers! Good luck to everyone on their moves and settling in!

Well, after 52 years in OK and the last 24 years in this house, I'm moving to TX...Excited, overwhelmed, stressed, overwhelmed, apprehensive, did I mention overwhelmed?

I know there are a lot of us out there. I lived in the Milwaukee WI area until 11 years ago and now live in NC. I always wanted to move south (away from those winters) so I wasn't upset when my husband's job brought him here. I was surprised that summers are actually MORE comfortable here than in WI. The only negative is that because some of my children were married or in college they didn't come with us so now all my grandchildren are 1000 miles away from me.

I have moved every 2-3 years my whole life (even as a child) and think of the moves as adventures and opportunities. We've been in this house for EIGHT years now! WOW.
