Hello. I'm clearly not a newbie. I just noticed that this group is also for anyone who'd like to help newbies. (I'm also clearly not particularly observant.)
I'm always happy to help, so don't hesitate to ask questions. I've been with PC for about 5 1/2 years. I don't have all of the answers, but I usually know where to look or who else to ask.
Best wishes on your new businesses!

Hi all... I consider myself a newbie, even though I signed up in Feb of 09.. hubby and I just moved with the Army from AL. to WA. state in June of 09... I am just now getting bookings...I have my first bazaar on Nov. 14.. I am scared to death... I sometimes live in a fantasy world... where I think everybody wants PC products...and I have to remember that a bazaar consist of more than PC...plus there are 9 (no kidding), 9 other consultants that live with in a mile and a half of me, two are directors.. so I am trying to venture out of my area just a bit, thank goodness I have support of my Army Wives that I am in contact with..any sugesstions would help

Hello Everyone! I just (finally) signed my agreement yesterday and I'm very excited to officially be a PC consultant!
I do have one BIG problem though: I'm a college student (trying to pay off loans) and all of my relatives and friends are too far away to drive to do a show, and I know catalog shows aren't very successful. I want to try to develop a good base for my business here and most college students don't have the money to purchase PC products.
I don't know how I could appeal to college students/faculty to try and get my business off the ground. Any ideas????

I started Aug 3, 2009 and started very well. However, I have been having a very hard time getting bookings outside of my family and friends. I did get 2 cooking shows and a catalog show through a friend's show, but I haven't been getting anymore. What am I doing wrong? I really need this business to work as my husband was just let go from his job and I am a stay-at-home mom. I have asked everyone to book a show during checkout, I have tried a game, the booking slide, all but begging people. I even carry my PC tote with me everywhere I go, leave business cards everywhere, and even bought a PC decal for my car with my PH number. Any other advice? Please? Thanks

lizaaidan- I checked out some recipes for you. I think this is one you can use the Deep Covered Dish.
Lamb Chops in Duck Sauce
3 lbs lamb chops
2 tbsp worchestershire sauce
1 tbsp adobo seasoning
cayenne pepper to taste
salt & pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups duck sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Arrange lamb chops in a medium baking dish (Deep Covered Dish), and evenly coat w/
Worchestrshire Sauce, Adobo seasoning, and cayenene pepper. Season w/ salt and
pepper.
Bake 1 hour.
Remove and cover lamb chops w/duck sauce.
Bake 15-20 more minutes to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.

lizaaidan - I have never cooked lamb but will gladly find you some recipes for your dc baker. I think it is very resourceful to join this site to find recipes and other assistance. That is truly the making of a PC Consultant!
