I do it all the time. Here is my recipe for Caramel Corn.
1/3 cup unpopped popcorn
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup margarine
2 Tablespoons PLUS 1 teaspoon light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
microwave popcorn popper or air popper
2 qt microwavable bowl (Classic Batter Bowl)
15x10 baking pan (Stoneware Bar Pan)
Pop the popcorn. Put into a large bowl and set aside.
Combine brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt into the Classic Batter Bowl. Microwave on HIGH 2-3 minutes, stirring every minute until it boils.
Microwave 1 minute more. Stir in baking soda.
Pour over popped corn and stir to distribute. Place on a 15x10 baking pan and bake 1 hour at 200 degrees, turning every 15 minutes.
Place on waxed paper to cool.
Store in an airtight container.
