Posts: 2,815 Best Show: 1329 Experience: 5 # of Shows: My Mood: | I bought a Body by Jake Bun & Thigh Rocker from Craigslist. I forgot to ask if the item came from a smoke-free home. It REEKS!! Does anyone know how to get the smoke smell from hard objects? It is not a soft material that Febreze would work on. It is a padded pleather material and metal frame. I know there is a Heloise junkie on here with the perfect tip. Thanks! |

Try mixing up one gallon of warm water, one half cup of ammonia, one quarter cup of vinegar, and one quarter cup of washing soda. Work your way up from the baseboards to the ceiling while you clean, making sure to change the solution often. |

Posts: 279 Best Show: Experience: 12 # of Shows: My Mood: | Fabreeze might work also. Years ago when my DD got too big for the booster car seat I stored it in our shed until DS would use it. Well, I forgot that my DH also stored the lawn mower in the same shed. Fast forward a year or two, I take it out for DS to use and you guessed it, it stinks like cut grass! I sprayed it with Fabreeze and left it out in the sun for an hour or two and it was as good as new. HTH |
