So I gave the cookies an extra minute or two and they still weren't done. But then they cooled a little out of the oven and I put them back in for another 2-3 minutes.

Should I leave cookies in for 5 extra minutes every time?

Does anyone else love the pineapple wedger. I love fresh pineapple but always thought that it is a pain to deal with. On a tour that I did at conference I even recommended something like this. I doubt that this was made because of my suggestion but I absolutely love it. I don't do a lot of shows, but I have taken it to the 2 that I have had since I got it. The first time I didn't cut enough off of the bottom..so I struggled with it. So it was no surprise that I didn't sell any. However the second one there were 6 people there and 2 of them bought 1. I think that a 1/3 ratio is pretty good. I also take the apple wedger to make the spears then it makes it look even easier. Anyway. I was just wondering if anyone else loves this product as much as I do.

I also have a show on Thursday that I told the host I would bring one with just so that I can show it off.

The other night I made Quick Curried Chicken from the "It's Good For You" Cookbook. I used the Mega Scraper to stir the recipe in my 12" Skillet and the Small Chef's Tool Spoon to serve it. Both the Mega Scraper and the Spoon were stained yellow from the curry. I managed to get the yellow stain off the white part of the Mega Scraper by using a paste of Dishwasher detergent and water, but I can't get the yellow stain off the spoon. The bowl of the spoon is stained on the top and bottom. Test Kitchens suggested: " Let the (dishwasher detergent & water) paste remain on the stains overnight. If the detergent does not work, make a paste with baking soda and water and apply it to the stains and let it remain
overnight. If you are still unsuccessful, we recommend Cascade Plastic
Boost (found with dishwashing detergents at your local grocery store) to
try to eliminate the stains."

I'm going to try the Baking Sode and water paste tonight, but don't have a lot of faith that it will work. I looked at six stores today for the Cascade Plastic Boost, but I'm pretty sure the product is discontinued as it's not on any shelves and not listed on Cascade's website.

Has anyone been successful in getting Curry Stains off of the Chef's Tools? And if so, how did you do it?

I received the email below from a customer this morning.

"Hi Kara, I was a little disappointed with the two cookbooks that i ordered, the two volumes of 28 min meals. they are all gourmet meals... that isn't what I was looking for. I will use them as gifts for other people but I was wondering if you can recommend a different cook book that i can use with just normal meals.

I want to be able to use my new stoneware but don't think there are any recipes in those to books that my husband and I would eat."

Now, I don't own either of the 29 Minutes to Dinner cookbooks, so I'm not clear on EXACTLY what she's talking about when she says they were only "gourmet meals", but instict tells me that she eats pretty simple b/c I can't imagine us putting together cookbooks of difficult elaborate meals that you put together in 29 minutes or less.

The other thing I'm wondering is who WOULDN'T love a "gourmet" meal in 29 minutes or less? Apparently she and her husband wouldn't... I don't know what her definition of "normal meals" are. I mean, I'm making Chicken Marsala tonight- would she consider that gourmet?!

Anyway, I passed around the Weekday Dinners Done! collection at the show- she was unimpressed and said she wouldn't eat most of those recipes. I'm a bit baffled at this point- I emailed her back to let her know I was sorry she was disappointed and I would gladly make some more recommendations for her, but could she first let me know what types of recipes she likes to cook and what are some of the favorite meals her and her husband enjoy at home together? That will give me some better direction.

Does anyone else have any insight? Can you shed a little light onto the recipes included in the 29 Minutes to Dinner cookbooks so I can see a little better where she's coming from? Thanks! :chef:
