I was talking to my host for Thurs (11/19) and as of right now she has 3 guest. She sent out an evite so I see the 3 guest on there. I told her to make reminder calls to those who have not RSVP'ed. She said "Ok I will send out a reminder evite" then I said "it is nice to contact them personally and if you want I can make the reminder calls for you" but she didn't say yes or no, just kind of left it as is.

So my question is I have phone numbers for these ladies. Should I call them myself without my host knowing or should I get permission from my host?

I really don't want to go and spend my night out for 3 guest which by the way are all recently past host of mine so I know I will definitely not get a booking.

In these last couple of weeks I had 6 shows booked - which is a lot for me since I usually just do 1-2 shows/week. But now I've had 2 of those 6 cancel, 2 others where I cannot seem to get in touch with the hosts (have tried phone messages and emails - both with no reply), and the other 2 are struggling with low attendance. This sucks! How can I "host coach" my way out of a disappointing November? Any coaching tips would be helpful!

I've never had a request like this... and need some help.
I had a host with a $1,500 show who just emailed me that she wants to chane her order. She received the product last week... the knife she's referring to she received for 60% off from the monthly host special.

Hey there – is it possible to change my mind about my order? Instead of the one 5” knife, I’m wondering if I can get the knife set that is on the last page of the catalogue for ½ off (like $37.50). I know that I will have to take like my scoop off as one of my ½ price items but could just get that at 30% off… if this just messes things up let me know.

I got the 5” knife for my mother in law for xmas but didn’t realize what she wanted was one with the sharpening case. That 37.50 set would be perfect…

Can The Solution Center do this for her? Any ideas on how to help get this changed for her?

Okay, I have a dilemma! I met tonights hosts a few times at a scrapbooking event. She was super busy and that was why she hesitated to book. She has a newborn, just went back to work and is involved with the junior league. Anyway, she asked me to contact her via work (e-mail & phone) and my last comminication from her was last week. She had a few people coming, one outside order and was hopeful for a good show. I confirmed our menu and that I would bring the ingredients (as promised).

Flashfoward yesterday...I e-mailed her to confirm headcount and the time I would arrive, etc. No response. My understanding is she reads her work e-mail from home, too. I expected to see something today but since I didn't I called her work this afternoon. They said she was out of the office! I found her home e-mail address and sent her an e-mail there about an hour ago asking her to please confirm.

If you were me, would you go anyway? I kind of feel like I have to but I never even told her what time I would show and its a pretty far haul for me. I expect to see her and her friends again tomorrow scrapbooking so God forbid I don't go and they are there...

I'm just confused!

Now, I'm going to get her a $5 Starbucks gift card...but I thought it was pretty cheeky of her to say, "You do owe me a cup of coffee." like she did me a favor or something.
I had run into her at Starbucks after not seeing her for 3 years or so, and was wearing logo wear. Next thing I know she wanted to do a party. Apparently saving $450 wasn't good enough of a reward...I don't know...and I don't know why the $5 Starbucks card is bugging me so much, but it sure is bugging me! :grumpy:

I have a party next Friday with a host who just had her tonsils removed last week. She's been having a tough recovery. I wasn't able to reach her by phone the other night, so I left her a message about seeing how she's feeling and if she's still on for the show and to see if she needed help with the invitations.

I didn't have her e-mail till just now when she sent me this:

Hey Amanda!
Sorry I missed your call the other day, I was alittle under the weather and unable to talk. I am feeling better finally, and planning to return to work tomorrow. About the party, I am still planning to have it, moving into the house this weekend! yay! I put together my guest list and did word of mouth, emails, texts, and facebook invites. Only a few confirmed guests as of now. What else do you need me to do?!

This poor girl had a house fire and lost her whole kitchen. We're really hoping she'll have a good show so she can get a lot of stuff. I hope people rally behind this girl and order stuff so she can benefit.

Since she can't really talk on the phone well right now, I thought I'd e-mail her a response. What do you think of this? I always struggle with e-mails. As you can tell from my posts, I tend to be very wordy. Is this okay though?

Glad to hear that you are feeling a little better. It sounds like you're doing all the right things with getting the word out. The only thing missing would be if you wanted invitations mailed out to your friends. I can help you with that if you'd like. But if you've directly spoken with everyone, that's really ultimately the best. Keep mentioning it to everyone you know. A few days before the show, you'll want to remind everyone about it.

Did I give you enough catalogs to pass around? Be sure to show it to anyone who can't come. Leave one sitting out at work for people to browse through. Be sure to invite people (especially those who live far away) to view my website and shop online. They just need to put your name in as the host so you get the credit. If you go in the hosts section of my website, you can send out e-mail invitations to those people. It'll let them know what the website is and how to shop online. It'll also let them know what the guest special is. I'm sending you a separate e-mail with your password to get on there. Let me know if you need any help with it. I can also send them out for you if you provide me with the names and e-mail addresses.

Also, did I give you a copy of the guest special? You'll want to let your friends know about it. A lot of people love our Simple Additions items but like to wait for them to go on sale. So now it's a great time for them to get something. Perfect for the upcoming holidays, too. :)

Just remember, the more orders you get, the more free products you'll earn. We've got a little something for everyone and prices to fit all budgets. The main thing is to ask everyone--you just never know who is looking for a new recipe, or has been needing to get something, or has been wanting to try out our rubs, sweet sprinkles or beer bread, needs to get a gift for a wedding. You get the idea. :)

So the next question is what recipe should we do at your party? Do you have a regular size microwave? I have some great recipes that we can do in our Deep Covered Baker. Here are a few options:

1. 15 minute Fajitas and Fresh Salsa
2. Loaded Baked Potato Chowder w/ Garlic Biscuit Bites
3. 30 minute Miracle Chicken w/ Garlic Biscuit Bites and Fresh bread w/ dipping oil seasonings
or
4. Zesty Ravioli Skillet w/ Garlic Biscuit Bites
(as you can see, the Garlic Biscuit Bites are very popular!) :)

Let me know what you think and if you have any other questions. I'm here to help you have a successful show, and I'd love to see you able to get lots of free stuff! :)

Hope things go well with your move this weekend!

OK, I am trying to figure out the Jan Free Product Value.

Usually, a catty show is $15 less than a cooking show.

$500 Cooking Show = $90 FPV, Jan FPV is $135

SO, I was just going to deduct the $15 from $135 to get the Catty show FPV for each level, but I don't think it will work - SINCE THE FPV IS 50% MORE - not a set amount.

So, a $500 catty show = $75 FPV and 50% more is $112.50 not $120 (which is $135-15)?????

So, now we have to figure out each level for our catty hosts?

Just wondering if anyone else caught this?? I can't call HO until tonight (maybe).

My host yesterday is at $1100, so she qualifies for the knife block. Can she still purchase another of the knives, such as the 5" santuko? Or is she limited to just the steak knives and carving set (since all the other knives come with the block)?

P3 seems to be allowing me to process it this way, but I want to be sure.
Thank you!
