Okay so I just got a new laptop last night and have now installed P3 on it...but after I signed on with my consultant id and password i was expecting all my info (contacts, shows, expenses) to transfer in...however it did not. does anyone know how to get all my info off my old laptop into my new one without manually entering it in?? also how am i supposed to get what shows i have already closed onto my new laptop with P3??? HELP! TIA

Your contacts, etc. won't magically transfer over - you have to use your last backup from your old computer - save it on to a CD or a removable drive and then load it onto the new computer. I did it about 2 years ago, and I remember having someone at HO help me through it, so that may be your best bet. GL!

I do this all the time between my desktop and my DD's laptop. I take her laptop to shows with me or to pick up catalog orders so it helps a lot!

Oh, good! Glad it worked!! :)

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if my P3 data didn't transfer to my new computer?

If your P3 data didn't transfer, first ensure that you have installed the latest version of P3 on your new computer. Then, check if you have the backup file from your old computer. You can restore your data by importing this backup file into P3 on your new computer.

How can I create a backup of my P3 data before switching computers?

To create a backup of your P3 data, open the P3 application on your old computer, go to the 'File' menu, and select 'Backup.' Follow the prompts to save the backup file to a location you can easily access, such as a USB drive or cloud storage.

Is there a way to manually transfer my P3 data if the automatic transfer fails?

Yes, you can manually transfer your P3 data by locating the P3 data files on your old computer. These files are typically stored in the P3 program folder. Copy these files to a USB drive and then paste them into the corresponding P3 folder on your new computer.

What if I don't have access to my old computer anymore?

If you no longer have access to your old computer, you may not be able to retrieve your P3 data unless you had previously created a backup. If you have a backup file saved in cloud storage or on an external drive, you can use that to restore your data on the new computer.

Can I contact support for help with transferring P3 data?

Yes, if you're having trouble transferring your P3 data, you can contact Pampered Chef support for assistance. They can provide guidance on how to recover your data or troubleshoot any issues you may be experiencing with the software.
