30-day free shipping on returns?

Does it the 30-day free shipping to return/exchange apply to the registries? What if the person bought it and had it shipped to themself so they could give it at the shower or wedding? Or does the computer keep track of whether it's shipped to the bride or not? My SIL has a registry and got a duplicate but she's in the process of moving so she was wondering if she can just wait til after the wedding to exchange it.

The 30 days starts the day the item is shipped from HO, not the time it was received from FedEx and especially not the time it was received by the recipient if it was given as a gift.

Hm...I was told it was 30 days from when the person recieved it and always wondered how'd they know. Ok, I'll see if I can return it for her sooner (if it's even still within the 30 days) and not wait til after the wedding.
