Hi!

I had a show last week and some of the guests purchased items as shower/wedding gifts. The registery is not through me...I've never done one. How do I let the person who has the list know that some of the items have been purchased already? I have the bride's name....is there a place for me to search??

Thank you!!!

Mary

Go through pamperedchef.com and go to the registry. The consultant's name MIGHT be on it (I'm not sure, though).

Nope, there is no way to trace it and unfortunately the Solution Center cannot help you either. It's absurd.

I was contacted by another consultant for a registry that I had through a HO lead. So, the HO must've given my information to her because it was my cell phone that is not listed anywhere on my website or public information. She did a show where someone purchased something for the bride (it wasn't a bridal shower though, just like your situation). So, at least in that instance, the HO must've given my information to that consultant. If you have the bride's name, it's worth a call to the HO to check and see. Good luck!

Hmm...I called HO about a similar situation in May and they said they couldn't access who the consultant was for the registry. ????

Who knows. I guess it was one of those things where it depends who you get on the other end? So maybe it's possible, maybe it's not. LOL.

I'll try it and let you all know! The guests from my show are worried that the bride will get duplicates if I can't let someone know to take them off the registry?

Can you contact the bride directly and ask for the name of the consultant she went through?

It's a step of customer service that the bride might not soon forget!

HO CAN help you, but you have to be persistent! I had the same situation a few months ago and when I called they told me they didn't have the consultant's name. Well, after several moments of "that's absurd, OF COURSE you have the name of the consultant" I was transferred to..... I think the tech dept. department..... and they gave me the contact info. for the consultant. I'm sure that this happens QUITE often, I don't know why HO can't make it easier!!!

Shot down by HO! It was my first call. She said they have "no way of knowing who the consultant is and that I need to contact the bride." Hello? It's a surprise shower....my guests don't want the bride to know they bought the items!

I would guess...I'll have to hope she doesn't get duplicates.

As I said before...OF COURSE they know the name of the consultant. How else would the consultant get e-mails about purchases made through their registry? Be persistent!!

If the people know a family memeber who is close to the bride I usually tell my customers to contact them and they usually pass the word on to the brides mom or such and they usually know what or who it is through.

So does this mean that if we have an order for a registry that we didn't "do", we don't get the credit for the sale? I hope not! Someone please clarify for me!

I think they are just trying to get the items that were purchased from them off the bride's registry so they are purchased twice.

how about asking your guests how they found out about the registry.....I am sure they will be willing to help find the consultant.
