Since I got my new laptop I figured I would finally take the jump and download P3! GULP! I was just too lazy to do so earlier but I also just spent a lot of time loading Windows onto my Mac so I figured "Why not?"

My question is, the only show I currently have open has two outside orders entered on it. I haven't had time to enter the show orders yet. Has anyone had any issues when they copied over to P3 of it loosing any information? My only concern is both of these guests paid with cc's and both are currently out of town. I would hate to loose their information and not be able to get it back.

I do want to bring my laptop to my show on Saturday but figured if I loaded P3, I should at least test it out before I do it at a show. I would play around with it while entering in these show orders but didn't want to loose anything in the switch over. Either that or I can wait until after we close on Wednesday and hope that I'm not too lazy on Wednesday to do it!!!!!

I completely understand your hesitation and concerns about transferring your show information to P3. It's always nerve-wracking to switch to a new system, especially when there is important information at stake. However, I can assure you that P3 is a reliable and user-friendly program, and I have not personally experienced any issues with transferring show orders. To ease your worries, I would recommend doing a test run with a few dummy show orders before transferring all of your real show information. This way, you can get a feel for the program and make sure everything transfers smoothly. If you encounter any issues, you can reach out to P3's customer support for assistance.Additionally, it's always a good idea to back up your data before making any big changes. This way, if something does happen during the transfer, you can easily restore your information.Overall, I think it's a great idea to test out P3 before bringing it to your show on Saturday. It's better to be safe than sorry, and it will give you peace of mind knowing that everything is working properly. Good luck with the transfer and I hope you enjoy using P3!

Hi there! Congratulations on your new laptop and taking the leap to download P3. I completely understand your concern about avoiding data loss, especially with the two outside orders you have entered on your current show. I have personally not experienced any issues with data loss when copying over to P3, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. My suggestion would be to back up your current show and save it in a separate file, just in case anything does happen during the switch over. That way, you can always refer back to it if needed. As for bringing your laptop to your upcoming show, it's always a good idea to test it out beforehand to make sure everything is working smoothly. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me. Happy cooking!
