Tom came across a bear and a rabbit in a forest of forgetfulness. Those two are strange beasts. The bear lies every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and the other days he speaks the truth. The rabbit lies on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, however the other days of the week he speaks the truth.
Bear: Yesterday I was lying.
Rabbit: So was I.
Which day did they say that?

If it were two hours later, it would be half as long until midnight as it would be if it were an hour later. What time is it now?

Thanks! I had actually heard the first one before and just had to draw out a chart to remember the answer. The second one was a little easier.

I guess should add that I love doing brain teasers and used to do them all the time ;)

The first thing that you have to remember is that one of them is lying (that's the part that is tricky). The bear lies M, T, W and the Rabbit lies on Th, F, Sat. The only day that they have that intersects in Th. So, the bear is telling the truth (he lied yesterday) and the rabbit is lying (he is lying b/c it's Th and that is his day to lie). It's easier to see if you make a grid.

Oh and it didn't hurt that I also took logic courses when I was in college :D

The second answer is 9:00 pm...

I know that I probably am not the first to get this, but I just got home from court, and didn't bother to read the entire thread, but still wanted to get my answers in... :)

I can relate! It's been years since I had time to do them. It hurts my brain a little as I'm not used to thinking so intensely, but they are fun!
