Earlier this year, I attended a bridal fair. I got many, many leads which I'm still following up on.

One person I called was the mom of the bride ... she gave MY BOOK to her daughter and told her to sign up. She DID! Only thing is ... I never got the registry.

My guess is that she went to The Pampered Chef, Ltd. (http://www.pamperedchef.com) and signed up without entering a consultant's ID. (It's possible, but not likely, that she entered my recruiter's number, but I think she would have told me if that was the case.)

While I was frustrated, I ended up kicking myself because I did not call her sooner!

On the bright side ... I made a LOT of calls and have a couple of potential registries and bridal showers ... called another mom and found out she's looking for a unique wedding shower idea for her daughter! So I am sending them both a packet in the mail. (I had spoken to her daughter and sent something by e-mail but mom says she's not online much.)

(Oh, and I have a booking, too. Too bad it's a 90 mile drive away! I keep telling myself that's still a half tank trip!)

What do you send?

The packet includes:

A book
A letter explaining the registry
A print-out of the online registry form
A spring wish list
A self-addressed stamped envelope

So if the bride decides she would rather not go online, she can fill out her name and that of her intended, wedding date, e-mail and stuff .. and go through the wish list, draw a line through whatever she doesn't want, and mail it back to me.

These cost me $2 to mail, not including the catalog, so I only send them to people who are REALLY interested.
