I thought that the guest and hostess did not pay tax on the free product value? I am entering an order where the guest purchased only pantry items (which are not taxable in CA) and when I add the bamboo spreader to the order (free in February) they are being taxed .31?????

My P3 isn't doing that...try clearing out the items and trying again...are you sure the tax isn't on the shipping and handling only? Many states tax S/H.

My guess would be the tax is on the S/H.

Tax on shipping was my first thought....

I agree with tax on shipping. P3 has not charged tax on any of the spreaders that I have entered.
