is there a way to set the software to only open when a password is provided? I am trying to do this b/c of the credit card info saved by the program, in case someone got a hold of my computer I'd like to know I took steps to keep them out of people's personal info. Or how about a way to password lock windows xt? Thanks for any help.

Kimberly - you can do this in P3. Go to the tools menu, then set personal password. It will prompt you to enter your consultant #, your ho password, then your new password twice.

Yes, there are a few different ways you can set your software to only open when a password is provided:1. Set up a password for your user account: This is the simplest way to password protect your computer. You can set up a password for your user account in the Control Panel under User Accounts. This will require anyone trying to access your computer to enter a password before they can log in.2. Use third-party software: There are many third-party programs available that allow you to password protect specific applications or folders. Some popular options include Folder Guard, Folder Lock, and Wise Folder Hider.3. Use built-in software features: Many software programs have built-in features that allow you to password protect them. For example, Microsoft Office allows you to password protect specific documents, and web browsers often have options to set up a master password for all saved passwords.4. Use a virtual machine: If you are concerned about someone gaining access to your computer, you can also set up a virtual machine with a separate operating system and password protect it. This will allow you to access your sensitive programs and information without worrying about someone accessing them on your main computer. As for password locking Windows XP, you can set up a password for your user account as mentioned in option 1 above. Additionally, you can also set up a screensaver with a password requirement after a certain amount of time has passed, or use third-party software such as WinGuard Pro to password protect specific applications or folders.
