Spreading Your Catalogs: Crafting the Perfect Letter

In summary, the key to personalizing your catalog letter is to make it feel like a personal invitation to your customers by using their name, mentioning previous purchases, and including relevant information. The ideal length for a catalog letter is one page, keeping it concise and clear. Your letter should have a clear and organized structure, starting with a warm greeting and ending with a call to action. While not necessary, including discounts or promotions can entice customers to make a purchase. Whether to handwrite or type the letter depends on personal preference and time constraints.

Does anyone have a letter that they use when they circulate their catalogs in beauty salons and different locations?? I want to put some of my catalogs out in the world but I'm not sure what to put with it other than the monthly specials.

GREAT question dawn!

1. How do I effectively personalize my catalog letter?

The key to personalizing your catalog letter is to make it feel like a personal invitation to your customers. Use their name, mention products they have previously purchased, and include any relevant information you know about them. This will show that you value them as a customer and not just a sales target.

2. What is the ideal length for a catalog letter?

The ideal length for a catalog letter is one page. You want to provide enough information to entice your customers to browse the catalog, but not overwhelm them with too much text. Keep it concise, clear, and to the point.

3. How should I structure my catalog letter?

Your catalog letter should have a clear and organized structure. Start with a warm greeting, followed by a brief introduction and a highlight of a few featured products. Then, provide some information about the company and your personal story. End with a call to action, encouraging customers to browse the catalog and make a purchase.

4. Is it necessary to include discounts or promotions in my catalog letter?

While it is not necessary, including discounts or promotions in your catalog letter can be a great way to entice customers to make a purchase. However, make sure to balance it out with the other content in your letter and not make it the sole focus.

5. Should I handwrite or type my catalog letter?

This ultimately depends on your personal preference and the number of letters you need to send. Handwritten letters can add a personal touch, but if you have a lot of customers or a limited time frame, typing may be more efficient. Just make sure to use a font that is easy to read and looks professional.
