Ok, so I routinely keep my pp3 updated by backing up the PPPlus dat. file that PP3 automatically saves/backs up as. Well, I had my dh email me the dat. file so I could install it onto my new computer here (I am in the midst of moving), but when the option to open the back up file happens, it will only let me search for a mdb. file. I don't know how to make it find the dat. file that dh emailed me with the info.

Anyone? Is there something else I should be doing?

I'm not sure but check and see if there is an import feature and if so try that.
