Ok...Just curious. What do you consider to be office supply necessities? :p

There are plenty of us Office supply junkies out there, that I figured this would be a fun thread to see what some of us have that others of us want! LOL

I thought of another item I would love to have as I was putting together the information for my fundraiser Tuesday night. AN ELECTRIC STAPLER!!!!

3 things I've been thinking I really NEED are:

A 3 hole punch
An Electric Stapler
A Paper cutter (Large one - so I can cut down poster board etc...also)

Things I use regularly and couldn't live w/o...

Blank labels - the 2 x 1 3/4" ones - 30 on a sheet...I buy those boxes of 3000 at a time
Colored paper - pastels and neons
Stapler & staples
paperclips - oh how I LOOOOOVE paperclips...colored ones and silver ones, small ones and large ones...LOVE them!!
blank printer paper - I print a LOT...which leads me to...
Printer ink cartiridges
colored card stock
index cards
good scissors - I have like 7 pr of scissors at my desk
highlighters in all 4 colors
sticky notes - must have sticky notes!!

I LOVE THIS THREAD!

Everything Carolyn just said...
PLUS:

Self-sharpening Pencils
Manila Folders
2-pocket folders
Mailing Envelopes in 10x13 & 9x12
return address labels (The small ones that come 80 to a sheet)

I can't live without my highlighter tape. It is colored tape that you can put on your datebook and then write on it. If that particular event/show changes dates/reschedules, you just move the tape to the new date in your book. It can be hard to find in stores but it is soooo worth it. No more eraser marks or white out all over the pages. I love the fact that you can move it whenever you want.

Once I got my laptop for shows I stopped using a calculator at all. Now if I need a calculator, I just use the one in my computer...or ask my 8 year old son - LOL

I would DIE to have a laptop to take to all my shows. That would be so awesome to be able to just sit there with the customer and enter their orders in that way!!

My husband has banned me from Staples and Office Depot...and soon Walmart, every time I come home I have more Pens... HELLO- My name is Jen, and I am ADDICTED TO PENS

My own peculiar addiction seems to be to self-sharpening pencils, and all types of sticky notes.....I love them in all shapes and sizes - the ones that are index cards, the ones you can hang on your wall for meetings, all the different colors, the ones that come in a pen.....I just can't resist!

Gotta get me some of that!!!

I love the plastic (tear proof) envelopes I got for mailing host packets. I was always worried about the paper ones ripping. (I had to buy 100 to get a deal but my friend who sells alot of her kids clothes online bought some from me.)

Stick with PC, build a team, and you'll be able to afford and justify buying a laptop for you shows. I bought mine last summer - my DH had a really good summer business-wise and I had a pretty good season...it was my reward to myself for earning TPC :)

I like to get 'em free from the bank, hotels, Real Estate Agents...they all LOVE to give away their pens!! LOL

I know they do, I deal with them all the time in my other careers. I could seriously start my own store.

It's so sad.....It's like I can smell them...even in Big Lots, I find myself drawn to the Office Supply Aisle, and have found some really great deals on index card sticky notes ($1 a package!) and pencils.....I'm always looking for new colors of sticky notes (they have fashion colors! :D ) - like I need more sticky notes!

Do you mean the acrylic sign-holders? I just bought a couple to use for some of the advertising pieces PC has been sending us...right now I have the 30 Minute Chicken flyer in one, and the Trifle Bowl flyer in the other - they look so nice and professional sitting out at my shows!
What do you use yours for?

I got a lap top this year for christmas and it has been GREAT!! I love it!! and for office supplies I don't have a specific addiction it changes from week to week!!
week 1 - pens, highlighters and markers
weeek 2 - index card, sticky notes, colored paper or card stock (to use the
items that you had to have in week 1)
week 3 - paper clips, jaw clips, staples (to use to store the items from week 2 that you had to get to so thatyou could use the items from week 1)
week 4 - portfolio's, folders, files, (used to store the items made from using
the item that you had to have in the proceeding weeks!!
IT IS A VICIOUS CYCLE!!!

I just love it all anything that is funky and fun I love!!!

I am grounded for the next 2 weeks from purchasing any office items!! Apparently my husband doesn't relize that if you stiffle one addition another will surface........SHOES........and......PURSES!!!!!

I was thinking the same thing. She probably read it and started having hot flashes....!!! LMAO :p

My addiction includes all of the above, plus:

Full-sheet clear labels
Clear address labels

I usually get my highlighter tape at educational stores or teacher supplies type stores. I like the wider style so that I don't have to use 2 strips and then have a seam. It is just so much easier. I found this link on Google for you. http://www.trcabc.com/literacy_tools/hilighter.html
I have not been able to find it at any of the major office supply stores. Robin Shilling is the one that introduced me to it. She gave some to the Directors that invited her to our cluster meeting. She is awesome!!!!!!

I am in shock that this post is the only one that references SHARPIES....I LOOOOOVE THEM! and post-it's! I use the small ones in my calendar, and then if they rebook, I can move that around.... instead of this highlighter tape stuff that I have never heard of before! ..I also like to put a blank one on the dates that I want to book a show, it is nice to open it up and see the open dates...

And I like...... my paper shredder, 3 hold punch, folders, X-acto knife, good scissors, paper cutter, lots of paper....but can't be scrap loose, has to be in a booklet or pad!
