I saw a couple of buttons. (Besides mine.)
And we need a 6 degrees of separation game! I met PCGina, who is in the actual cluster of a hospitality consultant in my cluster. Small world!!
Can I get a "yahoo"? (you had to be there)

I met Janice, Michelle (pcgogetter), Marlene (fruitloop), mrssyvo, and Kate Jensen, and saw everyone walk this morning as I was sitting in the front row with my NED. :)
Ann, I think you were in my very first workshop (in the front row, of course :) ) but I had to leave before it was over, so I couldn't say hi!

I met Chef Lisa (I think), Chef Gina, and Fruitloop. When I met Gina I was probably being a bit obnoxious during the Test Kitchens class. I blame lack of sleep not manners!! :)

Chef Kearns, were you in the Test Kitchen class on Day 3? If so, I was in the front row of that session. I was the lady with the "you can grate frozen ginger" tip. ;) I was also suffering from lack of sleep.

I met Gina by accident, she was in front of me at a workshop, and we had to find someone to work with, I tapped her on the shoulder, when she turned around, I saw the button, and then recognized the name. It was so funny, and she is a GEM!!!!! I really enjoyed getting to know her in that short time !!!! I had attempted to make plans with DebbieJ and Janice, but my back failed me again!!!

Well, if it does then I met Jennifer (jdavis)!
I'm so sad..I wore my button and did not meet one other cheffer! Maybe I need to get people's phone numbers so we can meet up at National Conference! :)
I did see Janice and Kate walk and I can't remember which other cheffers (and I cheered wildly when I heard your names!)....

Yes, I was in the Test Kitchen class on Day 3. I was in the middle of the classroom. You looked very smart and knowledgable. Everyone on my row appreciated the tip. We were a little annoyed at a lady in front of us that kept asking DUMB questions!! I felt bad for asking Karen if we could ask questions.
I didn't even ask the question I had for her!! I wanted to find out about the DMMP...whenever I try to make little cups with them it never works. The cookie dough, brownie mix, fudge cake always puffs back up on me. Using the Tart Shaper doesn't work. I've tried mushing it before they cook and after while they are still warm. I've given up! Oh well.

You' have to be a little patient with this one.....I've only done it with brownies (making the Tuxedo Brownie Cups). When I take them out of the oven I wait about 1-2 mins. Then have some cocoa powder ready in your prep bowl and dip the tart shaper into the cocoa powder (I use cocoa powder because the brownies are chocolate and I don't want white flour marks on them). When you press down on the brownie you have to make a slow - firm - rocking motion. I usually get the hang of it after I've made a few "testers" (aka - destroyed them). I usually dip the tart shaper in the cocoa powder between each one or two. You will probably get some build-up on the tart shaper but don't worry about it, it's just the cocoa powder and the steam from the brownies. You can scraped it off if you want to, but it doesn't really interfere with making the cups (unless you get too much).
Hope that helps you!

Well I just got home last night, it was awesome! I was in line checking in & pamperedbecky checked in right behind me, so I chatted w/ her and then cheered when I saw her on the big screen.
Then the next morning I stopped Ann & we chatted & hung out in our first class. We also saw Abey too.
I saw one other button going up the escalator @<hidden email> the adam's mark for breakfast & I was going down so didn't get to chat!
It was awesome to meet people, but I am glad to be home!

Yes Chef Kearns, you met Chef Lisa. I was also in the Test Kitchen workshop on Day 3. I tried to meet up with you Ann. How funny that you were sitting a couple of rows ahead of me. I absolutely loved that workshop!

Hey, thanks! :D I believe they're also sending me a copy of that whole video so I can show my kids. They'll get a kick out of it.
I never got my pin. :( (I don't know what happened, Ann.) So I didn't wear one, but tried to keep my eyes open for them. I enjoyed meeting Amanda in the registration line (that was so weird we were right there next to each other!) and loved watching for names I knew from here during the Director march. It was fun seeing you again too, Marlene!!:)
Well, if my pin ever makes it, I'll have it for Conference in July.
This is my first time back on here since before I left for Leadership. I was avoiding it, mainly because I knew there would be TONS of posts to get through. I know I'll never make it through all of them. All I can say is Leadership was AWESOME and hopefully more of us on here will be there for it next year!!!:D

I had also emailed the HO my show dates, but I guess they didn't want to travel all the way down here. :(

WOW!! You have such grand plans when oyu go to Leadership and then once yu are there ~ BAM!! everything chabges....
I had planned on going to Doris' table and congratulating Janice (never happened) - planned on cheering for all of you "behind the curtain" - you are so distracted by what you are seeing, hearing and experiencing....
I spotted my first button ~ Chef Kerans in opening session (she was waving a pom-pom in the front row) and I met several others (whose real and "board" names excape me.... something "V" and ???? and ???? I was so overwhelmed with it all that I felt like I was in a blur....or maybe it was all of that Texas beer!!!
BUT ~ let me tell you about my the best experience of a cheffer finding me....
There I was in the Adams Mark lounge (I was forced to go there with my NED & ED) when this red headed young lady came up top me and asked" Are you PCGINA?" - I did not recognize her - until she said "I'm Ann!"
WELL - my mouth fell to the floor - I truly was expecting someone closer to my age - not this YOUNG lady :D I told her that she needed to change her pix in her avatar to reflect how YOUNG she really is....
Maybe it threw me off because of her "BIG Texas hairdo!!!!!" She took her own personal haridresser with her to Texas!!! LOL!!!
We had a great chat and discoverd we are "cluster" related....
Leadership was quite an experience and I look forward to Cincinnati....:)

Gina, I have to confess that Julie told me you had a button on earlier, so I knew to look for you. :) You are so sweet, I'm glad we could hook up!
And I'm NOT young - I'm 35! My hairdresser lives in Dallas, and comes up to MI every 6 weeks to take care of his clients who are here. Kind of funny, actually.
---
I still have PLENTY of Cheffer buttons! email me or send me a PayPal and I'll get one out to you. They're $2 each - contact me if you want enough for your whole cluster. We'll be using the same buttons for Conference - no need to repurchase!

I very much enjoyed the Irish pub ;) last year!
This year my AD and I will be staying at the hotel that is attached to the Conference center. It will be SO nice not to have to wait for a shuttle..............

Oh, but do you know how FAR you will be walking every day just to GET to the meetings?!?! And you'll have to cab it to and from your executive banquet.
The cost may not outweigh the benefit.
Chicago Hilton for me!
